Koffi wasn’t looking healthy on this pick. Back those days rumors were spread that he got AIDS, after that one of his girlfriends in Brussels died from it. In that era he lost a lot weight, later on he started to get black pimples on his head, which made the rumors getting stronger. Koffi was fed up of it and decided to react with the song Ngulupa “Le Revenant”. Not long after that a rumor was spread that he died in Europe, which made him record the song “Dieu Voit Tout” singing about his death.
Back in 2015, when Koffi was invited by Ivorian televisionchannel C’Midi, they made a compilation of his videos from 1988 to 1994 and he had a difficult to see the skinny Koffi of 1989 back singing Mannequin.
