Archos, i hope you and all other members are doing well. I have heard of the Combatants before but since i don't understand the lingala or French languages i haven't been able to know who they really are, but i have scanty info that they are people who normally attack and disrupt shows by big Congolese musicians especially in Europe, would you kindly give me a brief background of the group?

In short i would say most of them are "directed" by two congolese politicians who had big roles in mobutu era and who want to claim them again so any opportunity to disturb current president and those around him is used
its actually very very difficult to define exactly who is a combattant and who is not
 there are so many versions
for example lets stay in music, political world is not my cup of tea,too much hate and evil there
there strategy towards music was to stop concerts in london in 2004 so that people are fully focused on politics and especially war in east of congo
then under the influence of the two politiciains i mentioned,it went from a state of upset to deep hate against the president, everything bad has been said about him(i am not saying he's an angel but still they went too far) and whoever say something contrary to what they think,or claim they know about president gets insults or any type of threatening
so when musicians participated to campaigns of 2006 and 2011 it made them very very angry,if what those guys said in their videos was in english of french and musicians took it to court they would spend a long long time in jail i think
apart the purely political reasons, there is also anger because of personal problems, they are angry against musicians because of stuff like taking their money and not dedicating them in songs for example, or flirting with their woman and co....so disturbing concerts like that is like a payback
and everyday those two leaders especially one keep making them even more angry

I just hope this concert takes place. Congolese music has been killed without these events....
