I don't know if it was Lofombo or Desouza. But one of them said that they were not happy that Pepe Kalle used to record without them and sometimes even performing without them around West-Africa and the 3 times he went to the French West Indies.

About his concerts in West Indies. I think that he could have expand his succes there more like Aurlus Mabele and co if he decided to focus much more on his solo-career. Then Empire Bakuba in Kinshasa. Guys like Aurlus Mabele and Shimita went even to the English speaking islands Grenada & St Lucia, Brazil and Colombia.

I believe this was the time when Pepe Kalle was in dispute with Dilu Dilumona and Papy Tex. Djouna Mumbafu did say that Pepe Kalle had briefly separated himself from Empire Bakuba. I think this was time when Pepe Kalle was not in good terms with Dilu and Papy.
