Now, why just JB and Werra were seen as the natural leaders after the split of Wenge BCBG? I mean now that I think about how come Didier Masela, Adolhpe etc. Etc. Accepted Werra as their leaders? I can understand guys like Ferré, Heritier, Bill, Celeo, Genta, Seguin etc. Naturally following their big bro Werra/JB but how could Adolphe seriously think that Werra didn't want full leadership? And for JB he is not leadership driven like Werra and maybe in his case the Blaise Bula of the world could have stayed, but for real how come these guys the sane age of Serra and JB accepted them as leaders instead.of thinking about making their own groups?

If Blaise Bula and Adolphe Dominguez decided to create their own bands, they would have ended up like Bimi Ombale and Mavuela Somo. Back in those days it was about collectivism and to make it as a solo-artist you had to reach some dimension, which both Blaise Bula and Adolphe Dominguez didn't have.

Both sides Wenge BCBG and Wenge Maison Mere were the continuity of Wenge Musica 4x4. Most members of Wenge BCBG, still saw the band as Wenge 4x4 just without Werrason (who they in their opinion kind of fired ), Adolphe and Didier Masela. Without knowing that JB Mpiana had a hidden agenda to get Alain Makaba & Blaise Bula out in the later stage. In their first concerts they still performed as Wenge Musica but towards the end of the tour, they changed their name into Wenge BCBG after that Didier Masela started to complain on tv about the name and sued them. Wenge Maison Mere on their side, just came together to save their lives. Because it was through music that they were feeding their families. So the priority was to make it and not about x or y being a leader. Most people didn't give them a chance and thought that they would fail. They gave Adolphe the role as president to forget Wenge 4x4, because he was still hoping that they would reconcile. It was in the later stage when they started to record Force d'Intervention Rapide that the war on leadership between Didier Masela & Werrason started to appear.

JB Mpiana and Werrason were seen as natural leaders because both guys appeared on the Mulolo videoclip. Which was the first videoclip that made Wenge Musica known in Zaire. JB Mpiana was the most popular of both guys, later on Alain Makaba started to gain more notoriety when their concerts started to appear on Tele Zaire, because of his beauty and talents. But they lost it when he started to stay in Europe in 1991 for studies and Werrason profited from it. Werra's popularity started to grow more and more with every album because of his songs (Kalayi Boeing, Tchatcho Mbala, Surprise Kapangala, Coco Madimba & Heritier Itele) who were very deep. But JB Mpiana still remained the most popular. Adolphe Dominguez and Blaise Bula were behind them. Adolphe was Europe based since 1987 before that the band breakthrough in 1988. He came back 1991 when JB Mpiana and Werrason already had alot of fans and people started really to respect him in 1993 when he made Voyage.

Another thing that count is also the charisma. Both Werrason and JB Mpiana had the charisma, that made them outshine Blaise Bula. When Wenge split, many people were also saying Werra na JB ba kabuani.

Back in the days alot of youngster were  copyingJB Mpiana style of wearing clothes and sunglasses  and doing those djatence when being on stage with the drummer having to following (raka-raka). Those who were liking Werrason were copying his way of walking and doing his way of doing mabanga heinnnn-heinnn hssssss. Guy-Guy Fall is a good example of it.

More importantly JB and Werra were smart enough to make sure the other Wenge men would not shine. When they dropped their counterparts, they made sure that people would also look at them badly. JB did that indirectly with Blaise and Makaba while Werra did it to Didier and Adolphe. Also, it is the fault of Blaise and Adolphe. They were not disciplined at and they became interested in other stuff but it worked out for them because Blaise is a engineer and does a regular job while Adolphe did make lots of money with security affairs. Makaba is more interested in teaching than music itself.

If Blaise and Adolphe had the discipline that JB & Werra had, we would be talking about Adolphe, Blaise, JB and Werra at the same level.
