Henri Nzoso is so funny when he imitates Papa Wemba's voice hahahaha. He laughed so hard towards the end of the video, when he was talking about the anecdotes. He's like he 7th or 8th person who said that Papa Wemba was about to stop with music when he came in Europe. But it's the first time that I'm hearing that he even enrolled for the journalistic school. Luckily his fans and people close to him changed his mind. Hearing how even people from his own neighborhood were saying that he's finished and saying that wouldn't go to his concert in Paris, made me really realize that it's not easy for a Congolese solo-artist to have setbacks in a career. Imagine if Papa Wemba really abandoned music in 1986.
Hearing that Papa Wemba's conflict with Niarcos Stervos was about Anna Maliya surprised me. I always taught that it was about the way Stervos humiliated Wemba in public when they came to Kinshasa for some series of concerts in Kinshasa, Matadi, Boma and Brazzaville that ended up by all getting cancelled. 80% of the conflicts in the Congolese music-scene, La Sape-world are always about women.
