Today, I had finally to time to listen to the whole album. But I didn't really like it. It's not an album that I will have on repeat. The album is okay, but not on Reddy's level. It was like he just recorded it without motivation and just did it because of not having released an album for a long time. From the 16 songs I only liked Camarade that he sung with Heritier Wantanabe and the song Omari.



It had good themes, but the compositions could have been better. For example on the song Deception Serkas which he sung with Sam Mangwana, the song would have been better if the beat was very emotional, since that the story is a little bit sad. I was dissapointed with the featering he did with Jean Goubald (Kende Kelasi). The composition and way of singing doesn't fit to Jean Goubald. It felt like Jean Goubald just followed Reddy's line and not singing on his on way. If it was done in Goubald's style the song would have been perfect. The song mini maman was just copy of composition done in Wemba's song Ombela from the world-music album Le Voyageur.



When listening to the songs he noticed that some short lines of his old songs came back. He can hear that he lost inspiration. He had to hire songwriters for this album. Some songs had were like twins (having the same composition), I think that it's due to adding on last minute some tracks because of  demands from donors and most sebenes were to short.



Reddy only used his atalaku's twice and the rest of the songs were done without atalaku. It would have been nice if the singers of his band also had some vocals in the album. But they just did the chorus. I noticed that Reddy did two songs with a Nigerian beat but on a Congolese way/live. The one dedicated to his wife (Zonga Ndaku) and Merci Maman.



I wonder who the musicians of this album were. I only know that Ramazani participated as guitarist.

I actually really enjoyed this album! Probably the best released Congolese album this year next to Dynastie.

Being a former fan of Reddy and knowing that he made classic albums like Prudence, Queen Lina and Ziggy made me dislike this album even more. If it was another artist singing in his place like But na Filet (I never listened to his albums) or Fabregas, maybe it would have been different. But I don't believe it. Reddy's voice isn't also the same anymore from moment he listened to Wemba's advice.

Until this day haven't listened to Ferre's album Dynastie, but I am sure that it's 10 times better than this. I will listen to it tommorow.

I agree that it’s not the level of his previous albums but when you just take it for what it is (an album by a talented artist who has nothing to prove and is past his prime), it is a nice album a nice return to some style of Rumba that nobody really does anymore I like the songs with Sam mangwana and Jean Goubald they deffo could’ve been better  but are nice, my favourites aside from that are Omari, Je ten prie and Camarade

Actually bill wasn’t as interesting as I thought. But Dynastie yes I loved. Formule 7 had very few songs that I liked but it wasn’t very exciting. Legende not Koffi best effort but again few songs here.

Bailo canto was definitely the best album so far this year.

I have still to listen to albums like Control, Mi Ange Mi Démon, etc. I will just the new songs who are good at weddings and birthday parties and if there are songs I like than I will look it up on youtube instead of wasting hours on albums who aren't good.

Personally I think you should listen to Legende, if you can listen to Abracadabra and 13eme apotre then you’ll certainly be able to listen to Legende, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again it’s a good album loool
