I could possibly count in one hand the number ghostwriters who broke through as solo artists. Koffi Olomidé was able to do it in 1978 with his successful singles (Synza, Anibo, Samba Samba, N'djoli, Cherie Lipasa ect). Macott de Katalas had a bit of success in the late 80s then flopped. Reddy Amisi and Felix Wazekwa would probably be the next 2 after Koffi as ghostwriters who became successful. I've seen the likes of Pascal Poba, Didier Mila, Benz Petrol, Do Akongo, Eldorado attempt but they've never went far. I've always been curious as to why
