The biggest problem with Koffi Olomide is his over bloated ego. He has been obsessed with remaining number one for a long time since his very successful song Papa Bonheur. Since then, he has wanted to be only Congolese artist to be regarded and everyone be forgotten. This is why he would engage in controversies with Kester Emeneya, Papa Wemba, Felix Wazekwa, JB Mpiana, Werrason, Nyoka Longo, etc. He wanted everyone to talk about him only concerning Congolese music. Now he has lost his glory and he is angry as you can imagine. He is beefing with Fally Ipupa because he wants to be above Fally by all means.

Koffi Olomide holds on grudges as some say. He has grudges towards many of his former Quartier Latin members including Beniko Popolipo and Do Akongo. With the death of Passe Kosse, I feel like Koffi will get angrier towards his ex-Quartier Latin members.

Koffi has really lost plot and any sense of creativity - the second hand embarrassment is getting worse by the passing day.

It’s getting reeealllly hard to convince millennials that Koffi was the man back in the 90’s-early 2000’s. My friend said Koffi doesn’t have the motion to sell out Hippodrome and the mpiaka will have warriors affirming he is finished. I decided not to fight the point

I grew up on Loi, Attentat, Noblesse Oblige, Effrakata , force De frappe and all those classics. It’s sad seeing the genre I loved go downhill like this. It’s pure laziness from the artists. All you can do is show people the classics.

Sometimes I feel like it’s like hip hop here in the US. These days lots of albums release but consists of a ton of garbage.
