Different pro-Ferre influencers and fans have been attacking President Félix Tshisekedi and Minister Patrice Muyaya on social media for the support Fally Ipupa had been receiving financially for his Stade de France event and also because of the way Tshisekedi yesterday said that  he would like to award Fally a medal once he returns to Kinshasa. In their eyes it’s unfair because Ferre Gola never received any support for his events in Paris

i think the point which might have hurt them most is felix mentioning concerts but not theirs so they quickly made a link with the group's struggles to have their concerts in the conditions they want as opposed to how smooth and always backed by governement many others are to deduct that he has a camp he prefers

How does this work in DRC? Why would Ferre be sending the appeal to his fans yet from what I have come to gather here it's always the artist who incites his/her fans to go against the rival. So Ferre incited his fans against Fally then issues a statement for them to calm down? Is that not hypocritical?

no what is happening is that ferre fans are fuming when they put together all they have been through for years and the president mentionig every major concert coming bar theirs,so ferre's administration pulled that paper to calm them down so that they dont have a reaction which worsen his case, given than in africa the president is a semi-god,that anger ferre's fans have been having exist wayyyyy before fally getting a medal came,it just all came at the same time that they were ignored and him put in a place of honour the same day,so its interpreted like that
otherwise, they have had for example for two consecutive years marchs of protest cancelled by authorities, and the same tressy and co sent to fan clubs to calm them down, because it would backfire on ferre if as usual in those marchs around the world damage was done on in major offices and stores and stuff like that
fally's medal in this case is more like rubbing salt in the wound or a collateral damage

"Support Fally Ipupa had been receiving financially for his Stade de France event"

do we have evidence of this or are we just running our mouth as usual Congolese people do.

what's next. Fally sold out his SDF because of the government.

seriously. some Congolese people are so ghetto ish and lack intelligence, No wonder African legends like Awilo Longomba left and moved to West Africa where he is loved and appreciated.

in Congo everything is a joke, even to the point of attackiing the President for doing his job as guarantor of the nation in honoring Fally's grandiose achievement

Why so mad about the comment ? I don't believe that you are Congolese otherwise you would have know it. Our minister of culture herself said that they would give funding to Fally's event because the event being a honour for our music and the minister of communcation also saying that they would support the event, like the way Tabu Ley received support from funding from Mobutu for his event at l'Olympia in 1970

exactly that is by a massive distance the concert which has involved the biggest delegation from kinshasa and its more or less logical from a point of view, and this is not even the problem most ferre fans are having, let alone the medal thing, most of the issue lies with not even being given the bare minimum of support festigola and co still are a big grudge they have been holding so fatshi's omission was like making it legitimate that he was not among the loved child of the system

Both Fally and the government have both come out and said this document was fake, he did not receive any funding from the government directly, but members of the government and even close family of the president did attend the event.

this is just politics, there is nothing wrong in them doing what they did or what we say they did, after all these guys are paying monaco and barcelona money which could do wonders for some congolese because they suppose it contributes to giving a good rep to the country... the real issue in this whole meltdown is the eternal difference of treatment of some artists, but people try to belittle it by just seeing it in the angle of rivalry bitterness

The problem with people like you and there's lot of them in our community, you believe, instead of seeing.

the article you provided does not exonerate your false allegations of the government financially supporting Fally's SDF.

The government saying " they would give funding or support " does not translate into reality, they only said that because everyone was criticizing them for not saying a word or two about the event.

Muyaya being at the event is normal, aside from being Fally's friend he was presently there as a representative of the government.

for months i read everyone's comments on here repeating that same talk of fally and government, but today i decided to interject after Ferre and his Fans took things far this week.

The day Congolese people starts to understand that music pays, that you can become a millionaire, billionaire through good music, the genre will be on a different plateau.

Golois fans should stop to cry and focus on pushing Ferre to the next steps. It’s the same with CR7 always saying that Messi was pushed more. Fally deserves everything because he is focus and does fight! If Ferre does everything right, he will get to the next level

What you said is exactly why i said that the fally medal thing is collateral damage for an anger of a different reason,i tried to watch a lot of golois stuff  to make an opinion most are not as annoyed by him getting a medal even though for polemic they are not happy that it would be him without them, but then the mention of fally and ba warriors and next concerts without mentioning ferre's recent and next as you  said about messi and ronaldo sounded like blatter saying messi is a nice guy and ronaldo like a commander and mimicked it and how it lead to what you said that ronaldo's fans from them often saw a preference from the hierarchy and overinterpreted everything that did not go in his favour
most of us here are very critical of ferre either for what we want him to improve because of the rivalry of fally,or regardless of him focusing just on ferre himself, but there is clearly a problem if for 5 consecutive concerts more than 10 artists could not travel because they found themselves in the lots of 3 blacklisted guys, every single artist that has performed ever since music fully returned have had "good organization" and support from the highers up,90 per cent of the artists who came have even brought people with the clear intention that they stay in europe which is the main issue which was causing visa complication for our artists,i think its logical  that people get annoyed that for example manda can get visas but come to europe with 2 artists and ngulus in order to perform with makeshift europe band, while a group which is max three halls away from completing the new grand slam has been living for consecutive years on the same initial restricted list,as much as we criticize him i doubt there would be back to back the same mistakes for 5 events
and even if there was mistakes its the role of ministry of culture to support their artists,it makes no logical sense that the second best can barely bring his own artists, while the rest brings friends, petit ya quartier, jesters, drivers and so on on top of artists and i doubt this is something that more foreign featurings, better marketing and so on as we want from him can fix even though we all agree that there should be a more rigorous organization around ferre

You are right and you more into congolese music than me. This is now just a general question did Ferre try to fix the Visa Problem? I think i saw once that ilunga and marchouse made it to france but needed to travel back asap. I want both to suceed but Ferre does alsoput stones into his own way same as the of koffi of today.

You are very right. If the claim that "c'est le congo qui gagne" is to hold true, the authorities would intervene if one of their big artist is struggling to get visas for a tour. But when others are having it easy even those who are not even active, even if its not true that the authorities are assisting him, the other camp will feel like there is special treatment for others.

That notwithstanding Ferre's management team needs a shake up.

absolutely, there is still too many friendship in his management, there will always be a core of friends involved in every band including the "superhuman" dicap like some consider him,but ferre has to manage to limit their influence and get the more qualified people for the major moves,i think if needed he should even do it "secretly" but then one of his problems he hates that for his 30 years of different struggles some guys would come and systematically take 20 30 per cent of his income on almost everything this a bitter pill for him to swallow while unfortunately its almost inevitable in the game, because from back when i worked around him until now everytime he brought in people publicly the guys who felt their influence was threatened created a mess that if you are a person of principles, you'll be uncomfortable and bounce, like the most recent example haya, funnily enough some of those who unsettled her now switched to the rivals, maybe he should try the pyramid approach that his rival did,you dont need to spend time with them to see that these are category A B C till the lowest jesters, its not easy even spiritually to put in place but you have to be bold with it
