For the older guys, I think the plan will be to let them off easy as they did for Zambrotta and Virginie. Check the number of backups they have for each position; I think lessons were learnt from Cedric Guez and Jeremie Kitubu in the USA.

How are you guys able to tell who's more likely to run away and who will return after a European tour, I wouldn't really know what to look for since they're so good at looking professional when they're planning a secret exit
