Matshuda (who I taught was a horrible singer) is now singing better because he is getting his formation under Ferre's guidance.

Nicodem was getting more verses than him esp in concerts when Ferre sings his old songs I think now Chappe will sing his parts

No they have a new guy who does Nicodem's parts, he sings exactly like him.

Echapé has always been shining, his style and tone is different to that of Nicodem who was not even a force in Ferre's band, he was just very close to Ferre because he's been in the band from the when Ferre went solo whilst Echapé left Papa Wemba's group and joined Ferre's band only a few years ago. Echapé is a fine singer and is one of the musicians Ferre sometimes uses to test/question new musicians like the way Eboa Lotin does at Maison Mere.
