The reason I like Hono Kapanga (soliste) pity...where is he nowadays
 

he is still with joss diena but also works with other artists,like i said in a previous post,joss has his solo career,hono his and gesac aswell but they team up in important concerts

its a good idea but would hono accepts  abandoning his freedom because in his current career with joss  sometimes he tours with various artists for months then comes back to ,kinshasa with some proper money(since he is registered here as a session artist he is paid  on europe standards by those session guys,lastly he even came for a jazz festival

Thats the reason fatboy has killed his band, pride. It is not stealing as every service provider like kapanga has the right to find greaner pasture.

indeed the list of guys he refused to avoid problems is huge,shella mputu,lisha,gesac,mukusa ya mbwa,jitroi(then gianfranco),brigade......
some even spent almost a year at home not going anymore to concerts of their previous groups but since he does not know he thinks they come straight from them and runs away from polemic

I that this is a good thing? am confused when the other guy gets musicians from other group we look down upon that when this guy doesn't get the said musicians we again down upon him.

JB does not need any Hono Kapanga. Yes, Hono is good but to me he's just as good as Ficarre, maybe slightly better so there will not be much improvement.
JB already has capable guitarists to take over from Patou but it seems he's content with the kind of music he produces so even if Flamme Kapaya went to BCBG the music will still sound the same way it's always sounded at BCBG.

I personally like JB's policy of not recruiting band members from other bands. As I have previously said, those who really know about Maisha should know just how bad things turned forcing the govt to intervene in order bring sanity and peace amongst musicians but as archos has said, some of the musicians JB refuses to take on actually left other bands and we're just home before going to knock at JB's door so I think JB misses opportunities especially on singing and atalukus because on guitars, if JB told Ficarre and Seguin to step up their game, BCBG's music would change.

JB needs another experienced guitarist to help ya ficarre as an exit strategy for ficarre since I doubt he will last for long now. I hate to compare but I think hono kapanga is better than the ficarre of today. Lets not support jb for abiding to the maisha regulation because he has lost the opportunity of getting talented artists who have offered services at their own will. Gesac was not accepted? Mudala,i know what you mean about Ficarre and I agree with you but remember Ficarre is the longest serving member of BCBG apart from JB himself and he is his tribesman, Ficarre has seen all of them come and go ,yes, he's seen Mboka Liya, Moleso and Patou Solo go, even in the original Wenge, the likes of Japonais were brought in and made to play generiques but Ficarre was still there so bringing someone to help get rid of Ficarre as you say won't work.
Though a bit old skool like Ficarre, I truly appreciate Hono Kapanga ,he's got a slight edge over Ficarre but i think there wouldn't be any difference to BCBG's music for as long as JB doesn't want to change his style of doing sebene and that includes drums and guitars which are really critical in sebene bit old skool on the style of playing
