concert eko zonga te....tovanda boye biso nioso
European concerts will come back sooner or later, I'm not sure when It'll come back but it will.

It will not or else i will get naked infront of buckingham palace
Why are you being negative?? Oza Combttant? If your not one then why can't you just be postie and hope this conflict gets resolved Jb's Zenith was very close to getting played and that's a good sign and Werra also wants to play at the big Paris venues again for Ingeta. Congolese musicians are not giving up and they shouldn't give up.

Newside, I don't know how many times I have said it but policing is a matter of the govt not ordinary individual like combattants who are mostly failed asylum seekers who want to be seen to be politically active in order to strengthen their immigration cases. Human rights abuses happen everywhere even here in the UK and worse in America. Musicians are selfish quite alright but they are like any other employer, they pay less wages but still people they employ are still able to put food on the table, their is gross instability in congo and you don't expect the govt there to even start monitoring who is paying who what, there is probably not even a set minimum wage so musicians pay whatever they like and their staff are happy otherwise they would have quit their jobs a long time ago so your excuse about abuse by top stars does not hold water too.

If combattants want to tackle Kabila they know where to find him, musicians are used as scapegoats because they are an easy target so am afraid and sorry if you feel hurt but to me the combattants remain a terrorist group or can you please explain this.

Zacharie Babaswe a parliamentarian and outspoken politician who has no good words for combattants was recently in France they didn't do anything to him so why should ordinary citizens like musicians, their bodyguards and fans be targeted, these have no influence on kabila, kagame and Yoweri Museveni. Even kagame has been here several times all they could manage is pelt his car with eggs at Oxford University.

As for you getting out of this site, am sure jdog was just joking, we all know each other here now and joke about so it's not something you should take personal.

Once again I do agree with you the majority of Combattants seen in the media like two sorts of combattants, the ones with political backgrounds totally show massive influence with philosophy of the combattants, as a whole I can say it's a 50/50 organization between normal congolese diaspora population and ex-congolese politicians (so there is some political background within the movement).

Human rights agreed it happens everywhere in the world but in Congo it's quite different especially with soit disant "Presidnt" Kabila Jr. who has totally wrecked the country in my opinion and by the big artists supporting him it was total betrayal why because Kabila & PPRD are responsible along with other movements for 8 Million deaths of Congolese population and for the artists who very in-fluent in Congo to support Kabila was upsetting even though they are allowed support whoever they want but their choices were disappointing to the diaspora, along with their behavioural problems towards their colleagues, workers, administrators and several other people sparked an issue to the Combattants and once again going back to Human rights most big artists have connections with main political party so you stand up for rights your life is completely wrecked so that means artists are in control of what they want to do whenever whether it's right or more time wrong (you see where problems begin) so they complete exaggerate with actions and yes it has to be stopped in the Mobutu days or even Kabila's senior days artists had their limits but it's completely crushed, artists take this dominance all they way to Europe so I thought combattant did a good job stopping them so they can come to there senses after years of observation. SLY you must be disappointed that the artists never took this period as transitional period to change things may I know views on this please?

Jdog don't it's all love man I was a bit upset at the time but I'm fine now  :)

All I'm going to say is that, I agree with the combattants is when they are against Kabila butin terms of removing him they don't because if they were really brave they would go to Congo (If they have the money of course) and fight for DRC liberation.

I really don't get how combattants say no concerts but it's ok to still listen to the music and even buy it in stores. And yes combattants will start beating up people if they try to go to concerts.

These days, we have so many problems with Africans. I think most Africans are fed up with their musicians. Not just Congolese people.

Newside, if there are any politicians in the combattants group then they too just wanted to strengthen their own political asylum cases. I don't think any of the politicians or individuals in the so called combattants movement have made any significant moves to oust Kabila. This movement is a pro-Tshisekedi group and there are many people who also don't like Tshisekedi.

Kabila is thought to be Rwandan but there is no significant proof but we cannot rule that out however Kabila is not responsible for the atrocities, Kabila's and the DRC's enemies are Museveni and Kagame. Kabila Jnr and his father were aided by these countries to oust Mobutu, these two Presidents expected Kabila Jnr to act as they wished with the most silly plan being assimilation of the Ugandan and Rwandan militia into the regular army of the DRC and I bet you know what would have happened had that been done so because Kabila didn't honour their agreement as he wanted a sovereign army for the Congo, he became their enemy and these are the ones who use their army and they sponsor militia groups to attack, this is in order to protect their own interests in the east, those interests(diamond mines) support their own personal and national agendas. If the combattants really care about The DRC then they should be targeting Kagame and Museveni as these two are the cause of the instability in eastern Congo ,this instability means the govt is diverting a lot of money to defend it's territory. Tell me, if Kabila stepped down today what would become of Congo?

Kabila has transformed the country despite the war in the east of the country, I don't know if you understand economic indicators but if you don't then even Wikipedia or other google results will show you that although the situation remains fragile, there has been a lot of development going on steadily, the major problem is the lack of systems due to the mess in which the country was during war so it's difficult for the current govt to control all areas effectively otherwise there is a bit of stability overall.

To me the real combattants are the likes of Alain Mpela who left Europe and returned to Congo in order to contest for seats in parliament in opposition parties, that is the best way to go about things, let those people who think they can help change Congo pack their bags and return to DRC and help provide opposition to kabila's party by mobilizing themselves on the ground and get more votes for parliament not just shouting and killing innocent musicians.

Here is to good democracy, people in Kinshasa carrying out a peaceful demonstration against the constitutional amendment. Let combattants go and join these people.

I also listened to the full discussion between Marc and Laura, they have spoken really well, they only made a mistake of saying combattants have a reason to stop musicians from performing in Europe, it's not the duty of combattants to stop music by force, they should use legal means if possible to block musicians from performing not violence that's when i'll agree with them and with you Newside and others who support the combattants.

Voila. With good lawyers they can find ways of legally stopping musicians like Koffi, JB, Werra and others from performing in Europe especially where human rights are respected.
