He said he had it in his mind for a while but at the same time he was trying to ignore it until one day he  said to himself that now that he has 30 years of "secular music" behind him its the right time to move on  and dedicate the rest of his musical career only to God
 he does not say it in that interview i think,but it means his two albums he was preparing before that decision will not be released

Good for him, does it mean he's cancelled his contract with Bralima or maybe it came to an end? I thought Bralima pays well.

I think all secular artists whose careers are going nowhere should jump to do religious music.

  i have tried to look for info about it, and i found that when dakumuda's contract with primus was over  he went to skol and they proposed him a trial of a certain period and then  when about to sign he was asked a massive sacrifice(not in terms of number,but very very close people) and it scared the hell out of him and it made  that decision happen faster,but he was already a "standard" christian before,with his group they used to fast for some period,attend christian seminaries and so on( a musician who is christian rather than a christian musician like koffi says)

here he talks about his switch to religious music and admits he had to see sorcerers(like i said earlier) and for him just the fact he went there was a big sin  even though he did not do sacrifices and he said he will not be a radical guy in this new life,because he knows in music like in every other job there are guys who work under blessing of God and other on the other side so he does not agree with people treating all 'popular/secular musicians) like they are all into deep witchcraft and he says thankfully his songs which were succesful happened before he went to see sorcerer so as an honest person he cant invent  false testimony about how he did this and that  for his success and he does not become a religious musician to become rich because he already has a decent life
and in the future he will study to become a pastor,instead of suddenly becoming a pastor creating his church to make money
 and one thing he really regrets from his life as dakumuda of popular music is the way he used to have so much girlfriends despite having the mother of his kids at home(who become his wife not so long ago),and even worse having some girlfriends who were actually married to other guys
 and he says he wont radically change his look because he is naturally like that and also he thinks whats  the most important is how pure your soul is and not how you look because many who had a supposedly more adapted look did a lot of bad things and only fooled people because of their" good looks"


on another note about him and witchcraft it was spread in the early 80's that he tried something to  succeed before  wenge and bigger than them and it did  not work out so he suffered from madness for some time
