JB Mpiana is my favourite Congolese musician and i normally get original CD's of his music but he's now letting me down where productivity and publicity is concerned. I understand he has businesses which give him money so music is secondary but his failure to be in sync with his fans makes him and his band seem like amateurs!!! What is the latest about him? i can't find anything out there apart from the primus petite ya quartier video.

emo asked the question few days ago, and i answered him that bcbg was working on 4 different albums at the same time which completely messed up any logic of release if i can say it like that and also  due to that excess of work they have been getting sometimes a whole month off hence much less video of concerts or also they alternate between the different studios and lucrative private concerts
jb plans to focus even more in private business so he does all those albums and wil release them one after one so that he can do his stuff and avoid at the same time fans moaning for no album during 4 5 years as the 4 albums will "occupy that space"
instead of like 10 popular concerts a month,bcbg now play maximum 3

Thanx for that info, I must say JB must be making too much money outside music for him to literally not care about his music career like this, you mean even a maxi single couldn't be released for the festive period, we simply got the primus half baked generique, a remix for that matter,such a shame!

I hope he opens up a proper music studio so that he concentrates on production as just going into oblivion will not help his image as a successful musician.

yes its in the plans, he already bought the place he will built it on,and has some equipment at home but i think its not for just now maybe in a few years

I did ask the same question yes.....for me I think the guys around JB have sucked out all his energy and enthusiasm he had. JB cant talk about retirement if he was very productive. I have said it for a while now that the departure s of Afande, Aimelia, titina, mboka liya, biku, mukena and caludji, JB has never been the same. Remaining with kibense and company has really hurt his career and music. I mean what serious cd has he produced since internet?......none. some of you may include QETP but that is not JBs earlier standards like TH.

Let him retire with dignity by producing a cd full of outside artists like titina, makaba, wemba, etc. Kibense and company have killed his music period.

There is one question I remember SLY did ask sometime back, what are some of the businesesJb is involved in? I remember sometime back in 2011 JB was in front page on a Kenyan newspaper and it was said that he was in the country for personal business. Archos if you know, what are some of his interests? Making albums for the future may have some technicalities if I think, one music is rapidly changing with time and even the mabanga thing may not work, will people pay to have their names be mentioned after five years? I dont know but maybe they rework them before release.

Actually if i was JB i could do a solo cd now. Its been long overdue and JB does solo cds better than with that unproductive crowd he has around him.
