Papa na Kevin, I echo you sentiments about those not using their talents yet they could sing so well. Kabose for example has so far shown he can produce very good rhumbas with high quality videos but is not giving his all, Aimelia, Che Guevara Sami-lo , Afande also come to mind. Even Jpson wowed me with Angoisse and i suspect could do some good music.  Someone needs to wake them up

You got my sentiments wrong, those people i mentioned have been giving their best and that includes Jpson, Aimelia and Sam Tshintu. What some these people lack is the charm,good looks and charisma which are also a factor in determining how one will wow the crowds. Kabose for instance has been the most consistent in releasing quality albums,every year he releases something good  but still not made it. Aimelia is alright but he too comes out dull and talkative but he's done some excellent shows in Europe to multi cultural audiences who have enjoyed his shows but at home in africa he's only known by hardcore fans.
Sam Tshintu is an excellent singer and dances okay but he's gone past the age,looks and all probably make him less appealing compared to the likes of Fally and Ferre who are more youthful.

Alain Mpela would probably make it coz he's got that charm,youthful looks,swag and good stage presence and  he did well to return home but he's taking forever to release his come back album.

Sly I understand you. I expected that question. Its strictly person taste. Ferre sings and arguable has the best voice amongst the big guns in Congo. Fally does too. Chai does not have the best voice but he really sings in a special way and I noticed he really influenced some of JB's songs. I spent the whole weekend listening to BCBG Internet and live concerts. I also took time to listen to WMM. My conclusion:

1) We have been reduced to accepting mediocrity as good. None of the things we are listening to right now can be compared to that.
2) Chai Ngenge and Afende's parts were too too sweet. Almost all Chai Nge Nge's parts were spiritual punches. In Congo there is always a line in a song, it could even be an instrument with a hidden spiritual bait. Very few people know about this but this is the part which catches your attention and gets you hooked for life. Chai did most of those parts.

Well put NKosi, i realy miss chai's voice in th and internet , the same applies to kibens i think in th in the song le rose verte kibens had good vocals then , not any more
