I only listened to this for the first time yesterday because I saw it and I was like what was this, and if they are capable of doing this again how come they haven;t??

The same way Werrason, Koffi, JB and the rest of them have changed their generique styles is the same way Viva has changed, bands are always experimenting that's why we are not getting anything like Solola Bien, Effrakata, Titanic etc otherwise they are all capable of doing better if they go back to the old styles.

Sly, you are half right. They can do old styles but only if they have the exact formula.  Look at koffi. Without the fallys, mputus, mirarge supersonic etc, nothing can come out of cindy et koffi. Jb too, without makaba, bula, afande,titina etc, nothing much can ge done. Even werrason is struggling to do his old formula. You need the right kind of people around you.

Look at what Fally and Mbuta Likasu have done with their albums, old formula on sebene but still sounding good. JB Mpiana did it on Anti Terro and TH without all those big names and he's done it in the recent past with hits like Quel est ton problem and Kipe Ya Yo.

good album, sebenes etc is all about quality, Sly. Its not just shouting, hitting instruments etc. The quality of singing, rapping, playing instruments, dancing etc needs to be done by a good unit. TH had remnants like Titina, Afande, caludji, jb himself. Now listen to kipe yayo, QETP, you cant honestly compare to older cds of jb.
