Kimbangu is still promising and has a decent catalogue but Flamme is a legend and revolutionist of the guitar and Kimbangu is part of his school.

Guys, someone has asked a genuine question and obviously you're not blind to see that they are new to the forum, you've not even welcomed them but you go straight to ridicule them, there's no need, they've clearly said ''help me out'' so just put your points across on who you think is the best between the two soloists because both are professional soloists with excellent skills which many soloists don't have.

To answer the forum member, in my own opinion, i find that it hard to say who is better between the because Kimbangu though a self confessed fan of Flamme Kapaya himself has created very complicated guitar partitions over the years especially on the album Palpitation Totale, it takes great skill to do that and so has Flamme who has been in the game longer so is more widely known.

Good question. I would say that Flamme Kapaya. He is a genius. Kimbangu is very good but Kapaya is much better.

As everyone said before, Flamme kapaya is the better of the two.  Kimbangu is very good but his style and skill level came from the Kapaya/Japonais school. Flamme is much more innovative in what he does now and continues to do. Flamme's body of work is much more memorable too. If you were making a group who do you think would be a better asset?

I find Kimbangus style good but raw when you compare it to Flam. And since Kimbangu is a copycat of Flam, I think Flam is better by an inch.

...If I were to start a group, I would pick a young and hungry soloist probably Arc or Bill's current lead.

Good thinking.

When you realize that their famous partitions were not even their own creations then its easy to see why both are hawking "how to" dvds; but that won't stop us from sketching along...
