Staffs are something crucially important in Congolese music but it could be used in positive influence and negative but for me I'm pretty sure JB Mpiana has the worst staff you could imagine they literally distract him along with Ferre which is pretty sad because both are immense talent. Funny how Koffi does not have the worst staff 

yeah jb is surrounded by 90 per cent of deep worshippers,most staffs actually work the same way,praising the boss then internal wars to become the boss favorites through worshipping him,bringing him new donors and mabanga customers, even giving some of their children or bringing to the boss people to sacrifice
koffi is case is particular,he does not really need staff to have a bad influence of him since himself is brilliant at that
i might shock some guys maybe but nobody(or maybe to some extent wemba) represents best everything what is good and what is bad about congolese musicians
a simple example back few years ago,with any other artist, it would have been a staff member "spying" at a concert of a rival then reporting things to boss but koffi himself went there all night long which resulted in werra dissing him that " yo moto omesana kozua bato est ce que ozui nga"
mark my words even in staff of fabregas or wata or brigade for example it will soon be like that aswell

lol that scene was funny ,as far as i know jb bought a plot of land and helps him build,he refused to give him money because he'd finish it all on drugs like he did so many times
lol just remembered the last day i spent in ferre's staff,some of the staff guys were argueing about who'd do food shopping for ferre who was arriving in europe like 4 days after and it ended up in a fight

Everyone spies on everyone's concerts. Just like football coaches attend rival teams' games. Gauge their strengths and weaknesses and perhaps monitor an outstanding player/musician to sign/poach. Infact,I admire Koffi for having the guts and being a man to do it himself than send a staff hireling to do his 'dirty' work.
