If that was me I'd be livid

It helps paint a clearer picture of why Makaba's contribution on Pentagone was basically insignificant compared to before.... In addition to him being an absentee session artist in Europe; working with whoever (including the enemy - Wake Up project) and also having people like Kester featuring on his album (who was against the Wenge movement behind the scenes)

In this platform there are people who will criticize a musician even if he gives a decent and good music to please his ago because he is more of a fan to ferre, fally, werrason, jb, wazekwa, wata, koffi etc.

Exactly.....they always criticize without merit. I am Werrason, Ferre, Fally and Koffi fan mostly but I also criticize them when they produce boring or poor quality music. I used to be a JB Mpiana fan when he was still an active musician but not much anymore but even now if he produces a masterpiece I would enjoy. Example is some of us will always criticize Werrason even if he doles out good music and the excuse they give is that he is stingy and does not pay his musicians......For Koffi they tell you its because he mistreats women and cheats on his wife with Cindy(90% of men do anyway!!!).................that makes me ask if this is a musical forum or a morality forum? For me I come here to enjoy music irrespective of the artist. If it is good I will partake. The personal lives of the musicians is not mine but God's to police!!!

We do as a forum tend to sit on our high horses and make it seem like we're sinless creatures - I guess that's due to the anonymity of the internet.

The way we sometimes judge and condemn artist situations, often based on rumor alone gets really ridiculous at times.

Damn, the way Makaba took credit for nearly every song is very Roga Roga-esque. Someone(s) had to be super pissed about that.

It's amazing how most things that occured during that period were reactionary towards the competition/rivals, even the littlest of issues ruffled feathers

Golden times. That was the first and only time I heard Koffi play "Farousci (1983)" in concert

Who is Zina Bilawu married to these days? I'm always hearing her get mabanga in the latest albums like Ferre's QQJD & Fally's albums, so it's led me to believe she married some wealthy guy or became a femme d'entreprises.

An overlooked album?

I feel like we as the listening public regard Kin é Bouge (groundbreaking opus) & Pentagone (nostalgia) with higher esteem than these two LPs. As time has passed, I starting to believe this was their most complete album, from a composition and acoustic sound standpoint.

Werra proved himself a chanteur here:

One of, if not the best forced praise songs (Saddam) by Masela:

JB had two hit songs; “Hi Ho Ha New Image” & “Cap de Benelux (really Makaba’s composition)”

Alain Mpela’s song which made him a huge sensation:

Kiekie yea, @archos was just going to say he’s an infamous “maître”. All those guys Jordan Kusa, Maître Bobo Van Damme, Maître Kamba Kamuzuna (RIP) etc. were deceptively big.

They looked like fools in those clothes in front of all the dignitaries in attendance

He can't even sing anymore. He never was a great singer but at least until Danger de Mort, he was still able to provide some good vocals. Now, he's just talking. Not a single effort in the lyrics either.

What do you expect? He’s started his career 40 years ago and performs nearly every weekend.

Already proved his mettle as a singer and composer long ago. Even someone with a high octave like Salif Keita isn’t hitting the notes he used to. It gets easier to stress vocal cords in that age range

The old man is finish kie kie you went on interviews even your entourage claiming not to have paid attention to Karmapa with Caligula kie kie what some people have missed the song Caligula portrayed the behavior of this man to a T with his case it hurt right home well done Karmapa you got an answer and we are tired of the programmed rumba you keep bringing out how your fans become deaf with your monotonous sounds kie kie nothing new should have had a better diss track cause Caligula beats this

lol, back to your old ways. I thought "Koffi: Le Live" changed your outlook a bit ;D ;D ;D

Were you expecting a "Malanda Ngombe" scathing response? At this point of his career his mood is sitting back and release a self-praise song, while shouting all his Heads of State friends it looks like

Tchip, this forsaken album again.
Alright dude we get it you hate the album but man like you said to EMO the other day it gets a bit tiring.... I'm not the biggest fan of the album myself but I'm happy it was a hit and it went well for him and it's gotten radio play and more contacts and contracts, you have to admire the guy for reaching out to a wider audience rather then just one he's thinking global rather than local

Ok, you got me there ndeko. I rest my case... looking forward to the next opus

2576
Yeah, this is real nice, like his previous single "Delta Charly". Mosala en forme

2577
A soft disstrack lol
Haha to who
Karmapa  ;D ;D ;D

Kiekie, like I said "Reponse ya Caligula"

One place Koffi has really improved is in clip production. Nice job

I still remember putting Effrakata in my cd player for the first time and being like “damn”. Haven’t felt immediate impact from an album like that since
