This is a great generique. What is the artist's name. I want to know because I enjoy this generique so much. Since he is a Katangese and I have family that live in Katanga, I will end my words in Swahili about this great song. The Swahili from Katanga Batoto, bamama na bababa, tunashimama leo. Tunashikia generique nzuri sana. Tunaona bantu banayetaka kujionyesha njiani nzuri. Nataka kusaidia mwanaume na muziki wake. Iko muziki kwamba tunataka kushikia kila siku. Tunaweza kupiga muziki muzuri. Sasa tuna mwanaume na kali na muziki wake. Napenda wimbo huyu sana.
I like this news but JB Mpiana will have to find a way to keep Blaise Bula and Werrason from getting at each other's throats. Those two have a sour relationship as we speak.
I agree with CM Prince but this is Koffi that we are speaking of. People know the old Koffi is no more. I hate to say it but the Papa Mobimba is what relaunched Koffi into more relevancy. He can continue the Papa Mobimba dance with some new tricks in it as well as the Maman Zando cri as well.
In the preview of the interview before the interview actually begins, Olivier forgets to keep his Fally voice in tact and his real voice appears at one point. Hehehe, it is pretty funny. Archos, you need to see this interview. Olivier's real voice appears at one point.
He is promoting his music. Here is his recent song. It is a resemblence to Fally's recent song with Rene Soso Pembe (Lokwa) [youtube] Olivier overtries to sound like Fally and at one point, his real voice appears with overused autotune. How funny.
One thing I wanted to point out that Kester Emeneya was clearly Papa Wemba's favorite. If you hear the song Mukaji Wanyi, it was largely between Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba.
Madilu was beginning to get taste of fame with the song Mamou before he got his classic song Pesa Positon na Yo. Of course, he was already somewhat known with the song Non with Franco but it was Mamou where Madilu got more eyes. I am glad to see the young late Defao and Shimita together. I wish that there would have been a reunion song between Adamo Ekula, Defao and Shimita as all were Grand Zaiko members.
Nono Manzanza was a great talent during the late 1990s and early 2000s. I am glad that he did this interview with Papy Gene. It is good to hear him. Hopefully, he can do an album with a medley of his classic animations that he did.
I notice alright. Sonor Digital was practicing while Roga Roga was still the lead guitarist. It was clear that Roga Roga wanted to focus more on his singing.
About this interview, there is one thing is that is true of Reddy Amisi. He wanted to be only Papa Wemba's petit. The problem was that Papa Wemba was a megastar and he wanted stars. With Reddy Amisi, he was unlucky when Stino Mubi became big with the song MJ Ngoyi. Reddy was mad that Stino also got Papa Wemba's ears. This explains why Reddy and Stino always have a complicated relationship because Reddy wanted to be Papa's favorite individual only. Then for Reddy, it got worse when Papa Wemba got Bendoson with him which probably led to more rage from Reddy.
Here is the big problem is this. Papa Wemba was too popular and some people wanted to be very close to him. Look at individuals like Koffi Olomide, Kester Emeneya, Joli Mubiala, Bendoson, Reddy Amisi, Stino Mubi, Christian Lema, Pathy Patcheko, Modogo Franco Ferre, Steve Niarcos, Felix Wazekwa, Rive Kono and Maray Maray. This explains why many of these men were at conflicts. Papa Wemba was a mega star and many people wanted to part of the ride.
Thank for sharing this. How long was this before the Nouvelle Generation creation? Was it 2, 3, or 4 months before Lidjo Kwempa, Fafa de Molokai, Bongo Wenge, etc left?
This is so gross. Why would this Fally fan do that. Is this individual ok? SMH. He just wants to create a bigger rift between the Koffi fans and the Fally fans. SMH.
