It seems like Abilissi left before the clips were filmed. The generique clip was filmed during the US tour in July of 1999 and in Autumn for Paris shoots. The shop in which they’ve filmed Laissez Passer is named Zio Ernesto, it’s still open till this day.

I think Extra was based in Brazzaville because in many interviews it has been said that Kila spent many times in Europe and having to join them in case of tours or other kind of trips

Yes, it's the best issue to touch a bigger audience

That's my TikTok account!

4
They even took Freddy Colby's animation, it can't be a coincidence

5
I know it's an evil act, but the ‘bofundana’ part made me cry from laughter... that's unacceptable behaviour.

He passed away on December 7, aged 59 due to long illness

I'll watch it soon. I love his song Choix in the Eurêka album.

8
Auguy Luna in the Irruption album

His son Toussaint confirmed it on his FB account. May he Rest in peace, Legend.

It was 243 Music who posted all those albums. I knew it would disappear soon.

I was told that Nono and Bébé joined Zaïko in August of 1982, but this show was on October 30.

Zaïko was even mocked for introducing atalakus in Congolese rumba apparently, them being nicknamed Kintueni or Konono.

And you're right Nono should have gotten tributes from almost every zone in Africa. Their role became international.

42 years ago today, on October 30 1982, Zaïko Langa Langa made its return to television after a long absence (no instrument kit, Langa Langa Stars split, etc.) in the program Variétés Samedi Soir, broadcast from Studio Maman Angebi.

Their performance fascinated audiences not only with the unique spectacle of singers entering on a rickshaw, but especially with the debut of two revolutionary members: Bébé Atalaku and Nono Monzuluku. They were the first animators (atalakus) of Congolese rumba, a role that was to become indispensable to the genre. (@ 19:13)

Bébé Atalaku and Nono Monzuluku were former members of Kintambo-based band Bana Odéon, which included members such as Ditutala (joined Choc Stars) and Djerba Manzeku (joined Zaïko Langa Langa as well)

I think that if they came back to Kinshasa right after L'Oiseau Rare's release in December of 1989, their rivalry with Zaïko Langa Langa would've been longer than it was
