Joss also shot himself in the foot by not having a closer relationship with Koffi. He once said in an interview that Koffi would often complain that Joss wouldn’t go over to his house just to have a chat like the past chefs like Fally and others used to do and stuff like that, whilst just wanted a professional relationship. I’m not saying that’s the way to go, but if he chose to become closer to Koffi things might’ve been different.
Also almost every chef d’orchestre in every band in history weren’t just chefs for a professional reason, they were chefs due to a special relationship with the boss.

Jb could’ve seriously have used this playback as an actual clip and sent it on channels to promote it.
hell no he shouldn't have these videos are terrible. unless its quantity over quality
This video ain’t terrible, it’s obviously aged cause it was from a VHS from 24 years ago, it’s obviously not gonna have HD. It’s the same quality of the Wenge Bokosepela clips.
Im saying that the viewing exprience is not quality, not the actual graphic "quality"
I see what you’re saying but there was a lot of clips back then that were like that just look at the Droit de Veto clips lol

Fally Ipupa made the right move to leave in 2006 because if he had stayed longer it would be similar to what has happened between Werrason and Ferre before now. Fally saved himself from a complete war with Koffi by leaving in 2006 rather than in 2008 when Cindy le Coeur came into the band.
If Fally stayed I don't think Cindy would've joined the band.

We never know. Don't forget that Cindy joined along with Meje30 because of the Lily Kaniki-song. Koffi needed female voices for that song. Both girls were doing gospel music at that time, but already collaborated with the so-called "musiciens ya mokili" in studios (for example the Nguasuma-generic medley of Primus or Bill Clinton Kalonji). Koffi was then astonished about Cindy's talent, which made him ask her if she wanted to join Quartier Latin. She then joined Quartier Latin with Meje30, but she hadn't not immediatly her place despite her talent. Koffi prefered Les Mineurs and later the team of Joss Diena, Gessac and Hono Kapanga above him. It's only after Zenith 2007, when Nguanzu and co stayed in Europe that she started to get her place. It also coinidenced with Joss Diena becoming chef d'orchestre, but Koffi demounting him on the same time and her totally becoming dominant when Koffi released BEK in the summer of 2008 and Quartier Latin slowly becoming a groupe d'accompagnement.
Of course we will never know, but what I mean is if Fally and Ferre didn’t leave so suddenly and okay Cindy and Meje 30 joined I really don’t think it would’ve turned into Quartier Cindy.
Also do you think if Rolly and co didn’t leave after Zenith 2007 that Quartier Latin would’ve remained the same Quartier Latin?

Lol if these two can get back to some cordial terms then anything’s possible  ;D :D

I 100% agree especially the chorus in Airways and Vicky mannn. Bouro is a good singer and is a cool and funny guy but man he would sometimes mess choruses up by freestyling and trying to stand out and sing 2 seconds late after everyone else.

Their chorus in Viagra was pretty good too with Mustapha and Eric Menthe.

Fally is so strange.... he never has the balls to confront someone directly, if you have an issue then address it. He always does stuff like this, Jb, Celeo, Koffi, even with his colleagues back in his QL days.

The Ndombolo ya solo clip is actually alright, it’s not amazing but it’s not bad. Jb could’ve used that to promote the Generique, especially to shut people’s mouths asking why he didn’t do the clip.

Hey at least one thing these most 5th generation guys at least the main ones have in common is most of them are still active sport wise, Fally, Ferre, Heritier, Fabro none of these guys have belly’s like the way Koffi, Jb, Werra, Adolphe, Wemba had/have.

celeo scram and bill clinton left the chat :D :D :D
Loool I’m still not used to seeing Celeo with a lot weight, everytime I hear the name Celeo I think of the skinny ripped Celeo from WMM, but that being said he looks more intimidating now then he did when he was skinny. Whilst Bill in the other hand it’s the other way round he was more intimidating in his WMM and Le Marquis days  ;D

Jeeeez that’s a big 12 right there, but Lacoste was lucky that wasn’t in La Zamba, it could’ve been worse.

JB Mpiana and Wenge 4x4 needs to credit Damien Dimonekene alot. Because he made those Pentagone clips for them with those scenarios we saw in Filandu, La Verite, Comete de l'An 2000 and Coco Madimba. He's also the same person who those TH-videoclips.

The sad part of the story is that it kind blocked JB's career on term of awards and his staff in Europe to really being strong in term of management compared to that of Koffi Olomide and Papa Wemba. TH was not only a huge succes in the two congo's but also in Africa. But those clips came like 1 year later which made him miss alot nominations. The same for Titanic who's clips came out on VHS after Zenith. I'm sure that he would have won at least 1 kora in 1999, if he released them earlier. Werra's clips for Kibuisa Mpimpa came also months later. But they were smart to broadcast the generic already on MCM Africa when the album came out, which made Werrason getting 3 nominations at the Kora Awards and him ending up by winning 2 of them. JB Mpiana could have got the same favor, if staff knew how to spread the TH-videoclip made in Kinshasa to MCM-Africa who was an important tv-channel at that time.
Jb should’ve filmed the clip for the Internet Generique in 2001/02 with him dancing with Alain Mpela, the PPU’s, Jdl, Bikou and Richard Mukena, instead of filming Jeannette. It could’ve helped him win awards because Jeannette was put up against Effrakata and Operation Dragon...useless.
