i think, the wazekwa and fabro concerts or one of them could happen because its in lyon, like the way zaiko performed after fally, but ferre's one  and koffi's one will need one hell lot of diplomacy to get it through with the police and the combattants, they will have to use their absolute highest level of relationship like fally did,and when i a mean absolute highest its very influent FRENCH people of their "brotherhoods" they are in

Even if Ferre and Koffi did succeed in diplomacy and heavy security measures were applied around the venues, what's to stop the combatants from throwing their toys out of the pram and wrecking shit all over Paris on the day of both men's respective shows?

Congolese Music / Re: Photo of Music Arranger Philippe Guez

One of my favourite arrangers/programmers as far as our music's concerned. As someone who was raised on the rumbas he helped construct with our artists (especially Koffi's), I'm curious about his background and history.

Congolese Music / Patrouille des Stars - Corrections (rare clip)

For a moment, I thought he would have 50 songs spread over 5 discs. I see Nyataquance wasn't a one-off and that he is actually cutting down on quantity.

Hello everyone!

The forum had a technical error and had to be put on a break. Now things are reinstated and the board is reopened, but further maintenance breaks can be expected in the near future. Some data was lost, the posts from the 27th of August were deleted, so if you don't find  topics from that point, don't be surprised. People who registered after the 26th of August will need to register again.

If you experience any errors, please report it in this topic.

The admins

Guys can we make a WhatsApp Group? So whatever goes in the forum we will have a solid back up?

That's a great idea. A tight-knit community should always keep in touch with each other.

When I saw that the forum went down, I was actually worried that I lost everything. Life just wasn't the same without this place. Thanks for everything, mods and admins.

you forgot to add Nouvelle Ecriture & Reddy Amisi

I forgot. Thanks for pointing that out, just corrected the title.

I know bits of it have probably already been uploaded, but from my understanding, this must be the full thing.

LOL, the way they just let the other cameraman walk in the shot and just kept it in during editing. That shows how much Koffi didn't really care about these clips. Like, they could've just used the other angle on these particular scenes, that's peak amateur filmmaking right there ;D.

Congolese Music / Re: KOFFI’S « LEGENDE » RELEASE DATE
« on: August 03, 2021, 17:40 »
If we're lucky, Legende will only be 50 songs long. Knowing Koffi, he'll throw in an additional 10 songs at the last minute. I already had enough trouble being forced to listen to Abracadabra and 13eme Apotre for an entire year, I won't even put in the effort to listen to the whole 5 (or 6, God forbid) hours of monotonous, predictable bullshit.

There has been some hopes in the past few years, but our music scene's been grim in terms of prospects. I feel like it's the leaders' fault, partly because they've grown complacent and partly because they focus on themselves and their own image rather than finding and nurturing local talents and easing them into a tight unit. Archos, you're right when you say the scene needs fresh ideas, or at least something to revitalise it and get it back to where it was 20-30 years ago.

this vlog of troopz sums it all up,it looked all set to be a big party after luke shaw's early goal(what a revival for him) then they sat back and boom

Not the first time. That's how they lost to Portugal (twice) and Croatia. I feel like whenever England scores early against an all-around side, they get too comfortable and play it safe, allowing the opposition to take advantage, control possession, equalise and play out for extra time/penalties. It's like they know the PSO is our Achilles heel.

Congolese Music / Defao - Hono (rare song from 1992)
« on: July 08, 2021, 02:54 »

This poster had one hell of a line-up. Youssou N'Dour, Meiway, Magic System and I believe I saw Extra Musica as well. Looks like Koffi's plans for his Parc des Princes show was an African fest/celebration of African music, regardless of whether they were guests or warming up for him. And the idea of an all-day celebration (can't play a stadium at 2am, can you?) looked like a great day out for the family, I think.
