Congolese Music / Re: MABANGA EXPLAINED
« on: Today at 01:50 »
This man did a great job explaining how Mabanga came to be.

It is clear that Papa Wemba loved the voices of Bozi Boziana and Kester Emeneya a lot. Kester should have been on Steve Niarco's 1987 album instead of Jose Fataki.

Congolese Music / Re: Koffi playing Bass & Rhythm
« on: September 12, 2021, 17:30 »
The sound was very good. Koffi did a good job dancing with the bass guitar. According to Diamond Platinumz, Koffi played the guitar in their collaboration song.

This was when Franco and Tabu Ley did a big collaboration together. People were very happy to see two big stars work together at that time. This when big stars could easily work together even with high controversies at that time as well.

This is a good idea. This is highly unlikely but I think it would great if Ferre Gola can get Bill Clinton, Celeo Scram, Roi David and Tutu Calludji together. Now that would be a bomb.

Who is Tony Gattuso? This is the first time that I have heard about him.

Way better generique than Ya Polo. I think Levyson is going by his own album title "Sala kaka Mosala" no empty talk of King of Kings. Lol
Levyson would have called that Mokonzi ya Bakonzi.

He needs to stop doing interviews because it’s the same question every time, Heritier or Gisele Yamamoto
I wonder if Papy Kakol had a role in getting Cappuccino to leave Maison Mere. Wenge Drama can be tiring sometimes. I wish Cappuccino would stop these interviews like you said but unfortunately it is popular to come after Heritier since he has the most success from the second team of Maison Mere.

Cappucino in this video says that Heritier never stayed to promote him during their time together in Wenge Maison Mere. Oh Wenge drama.

This song is pretty impressive. Brazza music is on fire lately.

Maybe Koffi had impregnated one of Werrason's dancers.

Anybody else with a better answer ?????
I don't disagree with  your theories. It could also be due to Papa Wemba. Remember Papa Wemba was originally Team JB but maybe he had a soft for Werrason and Koffi got angry about that.

Congolese Music / Re: KOFFI OR ZAIKO?
« on: September 06, 2021, 19:00 »
It is Zaiko without doubt. They have kept their roots and I know people hate it but it works for them and that is why they remain a great band after 52 years. It is important that is has been 52 years. So for me, it is Zaiko Langa Langa.

If I were Koffi's adviser, I would tell him to expand the Papa Mobimba and make new cries with Papa Mobimba around it. It is a great dance and it got Koffi back on top.

Congolese Music / Koffi Olomide works with Ninho: Hercule
« on: September 06, 2021, 03:29 »

In spite of autotune, the song is somewhat ok for me. Hope you like it if you can.

One feud that should have never arrived or come to be. It is the conflict between Koffi Olomide and Werrason. These two men should have done a duet or a duet album together back in the late 1990s or early 2000s like JB did with Papa Wemba.
Looking at this video makes me angry.  >:( >:( >:(

It is funny  ;D ;D ;D but it is also disgusting. I can understand Koffi Olomide having problems with likes of Kester Emeneya and Papa Wemba but why with Werrason. Why would Koffi and Werra get into a war. I mean Koffi and Werra were close during Wenge original era. If I am not mistaken, Koffi is a godfather of one of Werra's daughters. SMH, Koffi and Werra, why did you two had a fallout in the first place. SMH.

Can anyone explain to me and others what was the cause of the conflict between Koffi Olomide and Werrason?

He was a baritone, people always mock Werrason for being a bad singer but my God Luambo was terrible. I don’t why he insisted on singing, he should’ve just stuck to composing and playing the guitar

Are you really comparing Werra singing to Franco?  ;D

Franco was a very average singer, however wwWerra can't sing to save his life.
Franco wasn't an average singer, he simply sung with his natural tone, I don't know why in Congolese music singing with your natural tone is seen as being mediocre, even Koffi (except for his weirdos Eeeeeh) sings with his natural 2nd voix's voice then why no one calls him mediocre? Werra should have done the same and stick to sing with his own tone instead of try to sound like I don't even know who, Fabregas also does this he sings with his natural voice and sometimes he goes slightly up, but no one calls Fabregas an average singer.

I did not say Luambo was mediocre (I ll never dare). He was average, which means to me that he was good but not among the elite. But he wasn't a bad singer. He was a good singer.

The issue with Werra is not his voice. The man can't sing!  ;D The voice thing just makes it worse.
Werrason can sing if he sings at his second voice that he does sometimes.
For example, look at this song. He sounded pretty good. If Werra could this, he would be in good shape.

This is the song of Cappucino btw.
