Congolese Music / Re: Fally Ipupa Live

Very good from him but the auto tune was unnecessary and too much it’s like he’s forgotten how good his natural voice is
Facts. The way he’s been going on about autotune you’d think he can’t sing, it’s almost like he’s become insecure

Jb's the type of person that didn't need to work as hard as the next person in music because he has natural talent and natural star power so it's obvious he lost motivation early on due to money and also having a lot of yes men and yes fans around him who baby him.
About departures as you rightfully said Jb's never had a mass departure to affect him especially in his prime because with Koffi and Werra when Academia was formed that's 7 key members that left and with the danger de mort team same thing Fally, Ferre, Mirage, Jipson, Junior, Apocalypse, all left at the same time then closely followed suit by Soleil, Bouro, Titina, Modogo.
With Werra he had the Wenge split and the departure of Les Marquis, or even Wazekwa when Joss and co went to QL. So Jb's never had that pressure because no one left him at the same time, because if you think about it when a proper influential member leaves the group it's sad but it doesn't affect the group long term that's why Jb's never really felt it.

But didn't JB Mpiana go through a big disappointment losing Alain Mpela? True, it's not the same as Les Marquis or Academia, but to continue without his right-hand man seemed very tough to handle. Also the ngulu affaire slowed up their ability to tour and record in Europe
Archos already said in Bcbg a week after you leave it's already forgotten about now matter how big and influential you are because he already lost Titina a couple of years before that and also lost Blaise, Makaba, and Aimelia all in the same year but he didn't really care as much. Like I said losing more than 3 key members at the the same time is worse than losing one, because you can find someone to replace that role, people thought Koffi and Werra were finished when Academia and Les Marquis were formed

This list is laughable how can you put Deplick, Lobeso, Ambulance, Eboa Lotin, Taddet but not Kabose? JDT and Lacoste deserve to be in the top 5 for sure put some respect on JDT, Lacoste and Kabose's name

What's also killing our music is our artists being too greedy and doing every song for donors, think about it we're stuck on this rhumba trend for 16 years now and todays Rhumba's aren't even classics like that anymore. At parties you won't hear a lot of todays rhumbas but just the new generiques from Fally, Werra, Robinio, Heritier Innoss, Koffi (Papa Mobimba), Fabro to an extent. but their rhumba's not as much as before it's always the old rhumbas or maybe the odd Canne a sucre, Alidor or BM.
It's getting concerning now, last december is the perfect example we had so much releases the same day/week but they all came and went it's only Tokosss 2 that's still doing things but not like fally's other albums in the past.

Congolese Music / Re: KOFFI’S « LEGENDE » RELEASE DATE

Let's hope Legende will be Bord Ezanga Kombo and we get the recent dance and Papa Mobimba dance.
It's because of people like you why we have so much monotony in music, Papa Mobimba dance is old and rinsed out he's been doing the same dance and generique for 5 years now and in every featuring he does the papa mobimba dance, so why on earth would you want him to keep doing it

50 songs?? I can’t even make over 5 songs of Koffi albums since BEK let alone 50

So after 5 years - I got myself to listen to just the génériques of 13eme apôtre (most are actually pretty decent by modern standards), but I can’t get myself to listen to the rest of the cindy/koffi rhumbas sung directly from the bedroom.

Baby steps I guess ..  I spent 4 years without touching the album at all
That’s why I said 5  ;D ;D I’ve only listened to the generiques of 13eme apôtre, I haven’t listened to the rhumbas of that album or of Abracadabra, I thought lockdown would get me to do it but nope not even that. I have zero interests in those 2 albums.

A Wazekwa Sebene that isn’t complicated? Wow

I'd hate to have a test in La Zamba, it seems it got worse and more demonic and hostile after Ferre and co left.

4:08 to 5:06

2:22 to 4:06

3:58 to 5:28 and 9:00 to the end

2:40 to 3:20 and 5:55 to the end he did a good job playing Beniko’s licks from Étage ya Suka

6:10 to 7:00

Oh come on guys if Robinio "stole" that Dumalaana song he'd have got sued especially since the first version is on 2 million views and Robinio's one is on 22 million, it's obvious he sampled it, because otherwise the song would've got taken down for copyright. You can't just flat out say he stole it without knowing the full facts just because you don't like him lol

Loool he better be talking about Fabregas cause boyyyy

My Condolences to Tata Mobitch and the family

Heritier is pretty close to Fally and Ferre , it is only that he launched his career shortly before Covid and at a time European tours were banned. Imagine Ferre and Fally without European tours? They wouldn't be where they are today, so even as we compare, we need to look at all these factors. Right now it is extremely hard to market any album.
Heritier didn’t launch his career just before Covid, his solo career started in 2015 Covid came 5 years later, and Heritier already had an album out, so that’s not the best excuse to use there also Covid affected everyone not just Heritier
