Congolese Music / Re: IS THERE A NAME FOR THIS STYLE OF SINGING?
« on: September 20, 2021, 23:50 »
I was always fond of his father Dindo Yogo, Mokili exchanger is a Congolese classic right up there with Ebale Ya Zaire.

But, Lola Muana... everytime he sings I'm reminded of a sick goat. Maybe he tries too hard to imitate the father.

Ahahahahahah. Come on bro. Poor Lola

kirikou was also at the concert, ferre is really changeing these days, seems like  overall among them clan wenge guys the bad side of esprit wenge is slowly moving away to reinstall the original esprit wenge which is family, protecting the clan if  there is issue with somebody of another group and so on

Ferre started this way back...remember when he allowed De Gaulle, Rhize Ya Gola and Mao to rejoin Jet7 after they had left to join Maison Mere?

I think that is more.on the spiritual side, like.it happened with Bercy tbh

This is what growing do, Ferré, Werra etc are on their way or passed the 50 years, and holding grudges it's just stupid.

Congolese Music / THE FIRST 1:57 ARE PURE GOLD
« on: September 19, 2021, 22:13 »

Heritier really stepped up his genrrique game.tbh he was good when Brandon was there and I think letting Brandon go was a huge mistake because of Brandon could have sang like.his own leaving the Brigade's imitatiom Brandon could have been a serious Atalaku.
Withthat said Ambulance really.complemented well Japonais's style.of playing which was fantastic for me the moment from 00:00 to 01:57 to me it is gold

Congolese Music / Re: IS THERE A NAME FOR THIS STYLE OF SINGING?

He just followed the style of his dad Dindo Yogo who used to sing in Viva La Musica, Langa Langa Stars and Zaïko Langa Langa. Having hitssongs like Mokili Echanger, Bolingo Etumbu, La Vie est Heureuse, Tantine Betena, Liwa yo Moyibi, etc. on his name.

Lola Muana formed his own band after leaving Quartier Latin in 2003. He even released a solo album Affaire Sylvie. But the album flopped. Back at that time it wasn’t to be a solo-artist, having Wemge Maison Mère, Quartier Latin, Nouvelle Ecriture & Wenge BCBG dominating the musicscene.

In 2005 he tried to join Wenge Maison Mère, but got a big 12 during his test, while a fans wanted him in Maison Mère as revenge for the way Koffi recruited Ferre. After some months he got contacted by Andre Kimbuta to join Zaïko Langa Langa. André Kimbuta wanted to get Zaïko Langa Langa back in Kinshasa, since that he and his friends didn’t had a band their generation in Kinshasa and Zaïko being stuck in Europe because of the ngulu-affair. Lola Muana first refused, but after some weeks he accepted the offer. He and Oncle Bapius then started recruiting musicians in Kinshasa (Vaugerard, Bijou Bass, Tshotsho Mataba, etc.), calling them “Les Gunners de Zaïko” and started to have concerts for PPRD political campaign. Not after that he got in Europe with Oncle Bapius and got officially presented as Zaïko-member.

Lola Muana left Zaïko shortly after the end of the US-tour and lives in the US right. He sometimes performs with Shells Mputu

I see. He did right to leave tbh, knowing how much Congolese musiciams struggle staying in USA is the right choice. Does him and Ya Jossart still habe good relationships? Or they are totally no contact

Congolese Music / IS THERE A NAME FOR THIS STYLE OF SINGING?

It is weird but it flows, why do Lola Muana always sings like that tho? And why after leaving Koffi he didn't make an orchestra of his own, instead of joining Zaiko, which is wayyyyy out.of his league age wise? Like I don't understand why Vangeurard and Lola.Muana joined Zaiko with all the bands available to join tbh

Congolese Music / Re: Fabro and Brigade: Ambiance Pure
« on: September 18, 2021, 22:55 »
Wenge will never die!

Fabro has potential as an atalaku, yes or no?
Not too many current atalakus can mess with Brigade's repertoire of good animations. Almost an hour of one cri to the next. Hope he (Brigade) shows up at Zenith

Is it.me or Brigade is actually sounding like a better singer then Fabregas? Tbh Brigade's talent in cries and being an Atalaku overshadows his voice in rhumbas he is actually really good.in singing never understood why people don't Respect him as a singer.

From 8 40 lol i always get the  feeling that deep inside he wants to reactivate clash mode but he knows he'll look a complete fool so he just lets glimpses get away here and there, even the body language of his clash period pops up naturally

This guy has such bitch and female energy. Moto ya sima.

Congolese Music / IMAGINE IF THIS SONG WAS REALEASED BY MAISON MERE
« on: September 17, 2021, 00:22 »

To be honest this song is great I wonder what would have happened if Chai was in Maison Mere and delivered a song like this, JB wasted so much careers man.

Congolese Music / Re: WERRASON ZENITH 2021 LIVE UPDATES
« on: September 14, 2021, 17:18 »
Is anybody here planning to attend the concert or Ferres, or Koffi in paris?

Nah. I have other things and most of the Kibuisa Mpipa fans who were little have already moved on, I don't understand this whole chasing the Zenith thing, I mean that was 10 years ago 20 years ago, Werra like JB, Koffi etc. Should move on and find some other concert hall to promote.

Turkey of all places wow interesting
You gotta start from somewhere

my guy bijou bass with the dance moves as usual

Auguste Liyanza seems like he lives in weed lol, man he is so skinny it is not normal anyway man, I understand being stingy but as a musician the last thing you should do is being stingy with the audio recording, this means really driving your fans away towards better quality sound wise material that's why guys like Fally can have multiple millions even without promoting a song and guys like Werra for example would be lucky to reach the 10 milion views.

Man, finally, I hope that Bill will do something special tbh Ferré should do this more he made one générique with Calidji and it was the only good Générique of QQJD along with Tshiluba by Ilunga
