On another note, I see we’ve decided COVID-19 is over
That is mankind for you brother. Familiarity breeds contempt. People have learnt to live wiith it, and now with a vaccine, the fear of COVID is receding.
Having said that, we must avoid being statistics and take precautions.
I am still behaving like it is a pandemic, but most people are simply tired.
This has hit me so hard because I was a big fan of this singer. His voice was something special.
MwanaMokili, I must correct you. That song Distingue, Nyboma DOES NOT sing at all. In fact, Nyboma had his own band already called Les Kamale when that song came out.
Nzaya Nzayadio sounded very similar to Pepe Kalle. Listen to Mbondo and Matoba, you will know what I mean.

Lipua Lipua sure was a hit machine and there were big following in East Africa with camps of Lipua Lipua, camps of Kiam , camps of Bella Bella and Later, Les Kamale.
We would meet as youth and recite the songs (With little or no undertsanding of the words!) and compare which sebene was more 'fire', which guitarist was better and admire the horns of Kiamungwana and Mbuta Benazoo ...
The Solo singer was Canta Nyboma ( Nyboma Mwandido) and I think Nzaya was the second voice The Sax was Mbuta Benazoo The rythm was Vata Mombasa and backing Vocals of Lusuamo Aspro And of course you had Kilola...
Music like this Is rare nowadays, which makes it all the sadder for the loss...
The quarantine is to ensure you do not pass it to your loved ones, so it is necessary. I do not know what your symptoms are, but if you are able to breath freely, there is hope still. I have seen some members advising Garlic and Ginger, this helps. From our experinece hereabouts most people do recover based on several actions: 1. Take lots of Hot Fluids ( Ginger/Lemon/Honey Mix to keep your throat warm and irrigated. 2. Take lots of Vitamins ( Fruits rich in Vitamin C) and other vitamins as well\ 3. Exercise your body by sit ups/press ups and keep your body woking ( Do Not sit in a corner the whole day) 4. Finally, the throat is kept clear and clean by the hot drinks, but you need to clear your nasal/sinus/airway of the virus load. This is achieved by steaming. Take hot water in a basin, ( around 70 Deg Celsius) and cover your head in a towel and breath in the steam through your nose. This will moisten the airway and raise its temperature ( Corona virus does not survive in high temp) and weaken whatever virus are in the airway, giving your body a chance to fight. Try to steam about three times a day or as much as five times.

This news really ripped my heart out of my chest this morning as a lifelong 007 fan. The first and only on screen person I really idolized and wanted to be. Sauve and effortless was his demeanor.
