Congolese Music / Re: Songs that sound very similar

I feel like koffi sorta stole his song damn. even the hook and the backing vocals sound the same yikes

Imagine if Wazekwa was to give "Tu es à moi Jeanpa" to Koffi for his Monde Arabe album. This would fit the album so well instead of some of the filler tracks present.

Congolese Music / Re: Titanic vs Sanction

I grew up with Sanction but at the same time I like Titanic! I just feel like the Titanic sebenes (despite how good they are) are kinda slow to dance to. Sanctions sebenes have so much aggression that you can't resist getting up to dance!

I don't know what kind of crack Suzuki was smoking but he was doing too much. Jordan... Let's not even start with him.

I agree! Mamale definitely shone out here

Bring it on!!

They stole it from this beatmaker!

Looking at this, he probably is. This was posted last week. Not sure if this is an intro or part of a generique or sebene, you can tell Fally knows what he wants...

This is the creation of "Animation" from Tokoss II

Me being a Koffi Olomide fan from the day that I was born. I love his music a lot. (I was born between Loi & Droit de Veto, for context) I've always idolised the man, I've always looked up to him as a fantastic performer alongside his Quartier Latin band. I don't even know how to go about this right. I've always dismissed the sexual abuse allegations that went against Koffi Olomide.
I always said to myself, "Nah, that's not my problem, I don't really care about that, I can just separate the art from the artist". When you read about these cases. Going away for 10 years and not attending a single trial date to defend yourself screams guilty.

However, when you've been a fan for a lifetime, growing up to his songs and watching VHS tapes and DVDs of him, it's hard. He may have done so much for Congolese music and created such massive milestones, but this is what ruins it. This is genuinely difficult to think about.
What do you think? Let me know your opinions down here.

Congolese Music / Re: Wenge Musica - Live Génération Primus

I want someone to find me another guitarist that has the same energy as Alain Makaba. That man is always on fire. It takes both sides of the brain to dance big steps and play hard partitions at the same time!

Because normally we would have names for voices such as, Bass, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo-Soprano, Soprano.

I'd have to say Adolphe. As much as Adolphe is a faux chanteur, Wazekwa, is a bigger faux chanteur by far!

The "Yeeeeeeeee"  that Ekokota does really hypes me up!

1:50:12 Did Défao also dohis own Assises with Damien Dimonekene like King Kester Emeneya, Koffi Olomidé and Papa Wemba ? It's a shame that he didn't release an official VHS for Guerre de 100 Ans. You would think that Defao signed with Jitrois for the way he used to promote his clothes in 1999 and 2000.

It was looking weird the way Damien's daughter danced in the start of the video.
Yeah, the start of that video was looking a bit sus for me, like... THAT'S A CHILD!!
