Congolese Music / Re: Ceden Play has been found
« on: October 07, 2023, 14:02 »
I have never understood who Shaka Kongo is and why he is important or significant in the industry can someone explain?

17
Beautiful song I love it, the other vocals ensure just a sprinkle of something different on it which is nice so it doesn’t feel so “normal” or like other songs

18
Musically it’s actually a very nice song

What’s the deal with the whole Morote album given all these team changes

20
Inongo stayed behind?

bro prince,it seems both him and ferre had that plan from the start but then went for the one concert formula first,i saw a video of a close ferre guy charlie lapaja saying back in december or something that the staff pushed ferre for a double martyrs straight away but he thought it was too risky, and on dicap's side aswell the idea was to do "better" than the elders straight away but then whoever convinced him to track back and go for one first
the plan was double martyrs then stade de france in the future, probably why he's testing himself at the other wembley aswell
I like that their musical rivalry seems to be coming back, stuff like this could do good for the culture.
Speaking of Wembley and maybe JV might agree with me but I think Fally messed up by deciding to perform there so close right after U Arena because many people from London had already bought their tickets for U Arena and there's still tickets left. There's even tickets left for Wembley, the only way he can convince people is if he performs one of the best shows he can at U Arena that will make people want to see him again in London. Because tbh these days people don't like to spend their hard earned money on concerts back to back unless your Chris brown or Beyonce lol
This is so true many people here I speak to say they’re going to Paris so they don’t know if they will go to the wembley show too. He will have to showcase a new single or something , or have some fire guests to get people to go back to bavk

Congolese Music / Re: REDDY AMISI CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF CAREER

His album last year is actually underrated , 40 years he deserves his credit

this type of concert is 50/50 for me,i am always happy that they have the courage to play despite all complication from combattants, the other half is that there is always a "small crowd" effect which people mock
thats two times they are coming to europe and no dinara no golberg
Yhh I really would’ve wanted to see dinara so that is a shame

24
Yh it ended up being in Broadwater farm but I found it very enjoyable and Jamaique kinda impressed me  especially on some of Brigades cries

The intro was fire. Solist Pitshou Satiango was right when saying that he and Bizima came with something new when joining El Paris. I wonder solist Ocean Indien didn't wore an uniform like the rest of the band (he plays lead during Ibrahim, Zulu 21, Britanny la Fille du Roi and Kanda Ngobila).
Those two brought such a burst of energy that allowed them to keep pace with the likes of QL, WMMM, BCBG etc (music wise)

Something that took me a while to like was Pentagone as much as it sounds weird.

Congolese Music / Re: Werrason live at Nuit de la Francophonie
« on: August 08, 2023, 23:55 »
so nobody on this forum likes Werrason ?
Werra is a legend but as of right now……there are other artists and bands better than Werra and Maison Mere.
Like?
Look at the shows Light Music Villanova and La Team Wata have been putting on and then look at Maison Mere.
You’re overhyping Light Music Villanova big time lool
Yh literally LM Villanova performances ain’t all that.  La Team Wata and Wenge BCBG do the best shows right now. And then probably WMMM but that’s only because nobody else performs as often as those three, WMMM still have decent instrumentalists and vocals but it’s not great although they put on a good show

Congolese Music / Where has Kin creative dancing gone??
« on: August 07, 2023, 20:20 »
This past few days I have been watching a lot of Dakumuda clips and some old Radja kula. The choreography is impeccable and so many dances you could pick. But now it’s so boring also I think a reason why congolese music is falling behind.

I never realised how good Catholique could be at Heritiers vocals, Jamaique is so so mediocre. The only thing that even makes me think hes still there is that he has memorised all the animation loool

Even me I thought Zaiko created that Zapata partition loooool even here in London at any young people congolese or francophone event that one is serioussss
