I want to agree with Sly's observation that chikito may not go far because of his image. Have been following Chikito keenly and have come to a conclusion that the guy needs urgent image help. Then again he needs advice on what to post and what not to post on social media. This is one guy who will take a photo of himself in a lodging with very old television set and post it on facebook. As if that is not enough will take a close snap of his face which is very ugly and post. Surely someone should help this boy. Most of the pics he posts on fb are all suggestive that he is struggling which is not good.
Condolences to French people for that act of terrorism and at the same time I would commend the French police for killing the two brothers responsible for that act at Chali Hebdo. What has been amazing to me is the unity of the European countries in support of the French people at the time of need and I was asking myself on the Kenyan case in which about 70 people were short dead by the terrorist at a shopping mall and no African country showed sympathy. The night vigils in London,Rome and even Munich showed that Europe is well aware of the threat next door. This attack comes barely a week after a serious demonstrations in Germany's large cities against immigrants. Though Government there dismissed leaders behind it as racists that cannot escape ones imagination that Europe is worry of Immigrants and more so those exhibiting bad behavior. I'm writing this in line with the menace of the Combatants in Europe and I think with this terrorism act in France, Combatants are going to rethink their actions again because i believe authorities there in France is going to be even tougher on acts of violence and lawlessness. I pray that this becomes the start of the end to violence against Congolese musicians abroad.
Whoever said that it is not possible for musicians outside Congo to succeed may not be right. Some of these guys are playing good music and doing well. I take some who came to East Africa have played good music all through.Take for example former Quartier Latin's Zoe Bella brother Christian Bella who is doing good music.
We share views here but little did I know that Nyumu wa Mukiti's office is just next to where I work. What an interesting person that you are man! I identified him by loud old Wenge music playing from his car. Nyuma wa Mukiti it was a pleasure meeting such an ardent lover of Rhumba music.
