Looking forward to it. The chap (silly and embarrassing behaviors aside) really knows how to produce great rhumbas and has instilled some of the greatest session artists of all-time

1 FANTOME,dedicated to lawyer thethe kabwe,a song very based around accoustic music, with some interventions of team wata's chef michka ngandu
love song from the perspective of his woman asking him to love and forgive her 9/10
2 MI ANGE MI DEMON,the generique of CD1,after trying to create his own identity in generiques and failing to get expected results heritier decided to go back to his basics of maison mere, tasking his drummer koba to play like his former mentor papy kakol and picking among his 4 soloists ( akim, champion, mvuluzi who returned and japonais)  the one who is one of the architects of the maison mere identity, japonais kyoto
it starts with ambulance who returned to the group after failed experience outside, then goes to a change of rhythm introducing tshandowa using as beginning a part of an animation the following atalaku gradel once gave/got stolen by brigade, then giving the pass to gradel who had to share his animation with his boss heritier on demand of producer david monsoh who wanted him to participate since its his album,it is later followed by a signature by japonais in the mould of the legendary kapaya signature of kibuisa mpimpa, with a short apparence of zaza who made his debut in s'il te plait, then a second time of animation for heritier, and it ends in a "detente" like they call it with a slower tempo and more emphasis on rhythm/mi solo while soloist would make here and there some contribution, this last part is done by the co-founder of team wata like his boss calls him, plata ngwangi
8/10 not yet a classic material from heritier but he is now definitely on the right direction regarding generiques, special mention to his shoutout to werra which created already some buzz prior to official release with the group's dance lyse pedro singing with passion the generique in a video
3 SIDBOY,dedicated to sidboy saidi manzaka ma lion, another song in the perspective of a women pleading to her man to come back in her life because without him life is complete shambles, once again a little appareance of chef michka followed by a transitional chorus and change of rhythm which will be marked by heritier bringing back some carlyto lyrics,9/10 would have got a 10 for me if the song stayed on first rhythm then had more vocals and lead guitar, but i guess heritier knew that he had already many songs starting on that same note,ré i think so he needed second parts to make difference in some songs, but still the second part is good
4 MON SOLEIL dedicated to abed achour, starting like a rnb song,in the perspective of sonya pembe expressing to abed how much he means to her and that he is the man of her dreams and a second part leaning a bit more towards rumba but still with that beat behind,7/10 my least favorite song of album
5 RACOEUR dedicated to rachel futa tenday, in the perspective of ted tenday singing about his woman rachel being the cure to all his problems and that he'll be with her no matter what, one of the songs heritier has the most hopes for to succeed, heritier himself doing chorus, all the ingredients of a succesful rumba, great instrumentals, catchy chorus...10/10
6 LA KAYOTTE dedicated to kayotte kabika, started with rumba rnb/trap vibes then evolving into rumba fiesta(with some latino american flavour at times),in the perspective of a man asking her to give her love back, with chorus of team wata and lead by beniko popolipo, vocals by jerry speer, cedrick mbungu, another of heritier's favorites to be big hits 9/10
7 MAMAN PARADIS dedicated to deborah lwando, featuring reddy amisi,in the perspective of her husband guy lwando expressing how much he loves her no matter what people can say, beautiful soft music with violin and philarmonic instruments in the first part then evolving into proper rumba, with great chemistry between heritier and reddy 9/10 would have been a 10 with solo guitar at the end
8 TELEMA featuring tanguy patrick sery aka debordo leekunfa,a song so far many people struggle to like or understand, some because of huge expectation, some because of timing, some because of expecting a more dance focused song, its indeed a dance song but with a strong message for people to stand up for their lives, never give up no matter how people mock them because they can find themselves at the bottom then reach the top quicker than people would imagine 8/10 guitars by rodriguez and alvarito
9 MA SEUL RAISON dedicated to ted tenday,in the perspective of rachel futa telling ted that he is precious to her life, his absence is deeply missed and his returns are a source of joy, ending with old school odemba  and what caught people's attention is shoutout to his second mentor and idol jb mpiana who he has to record a song with as a bonus of album
10 LONGUE VIE dedicated to adolphe muteba,in the perspective of his wife telling him to stick together and continuing building their love, starting with accoustic guitar and a beat behind then going into rumba with folkloric vibe 8/10
11 IVRE D AMOUR dedicated to lucien ebeta,a song of blanchard mosaka brought in by manzeku na mbonda who introduces the song, like the title says "drunk in love",lucien's wife praises him and expresses how much she cant live without him ,starts with a slow part then evolves into oldschool fiesta rumba with beautiful guitar by caen madoka and saxophones and vocals by miyembe and michka ngandu 11/10 not even a second to complain about
12 GOMBE NA GOMBE dedicated to daniel shangalume "massaro",another love song with feminine voice  of jacklove and INA artists, another song with oldschool vibes  8,5/10
13 ROI MANITOU dedicated to roi manitou ludovic, yet another love song in the perspective of his woman praising her loved one, explaining how special he is to her and making comparison of how stuck she is to him with how wrestlers would be stuck between chris benoit's arm this song existed 11 years ago exactly and was done by djodjo lina the author of papa wemba's blessure and heritier's desolé which ends album and meant to be sung with his other main idol papa wemba but it could unfortunately never happen 11/10  plus 1 for heritier who really pushed himself like i said in the past on his song to sing doing both his role and wemba's and putting a lot of emotion into the song

age yaya tala kaka ba 60,maybe their other featuring in reddy's album will have more of his natural self(as they tend to put extra effort in their own stuff)

Excellent review Ndeko, I've been saying you should do more reviews since the brother Newside isn't active anymore.

Yes its a very good idea or we should all do "mini" reviews of the upcoming albums

He sounded like the normal Reddy in that Union Sacre song they did.

Another thing I’ve noticed, it’s been like a week or so but Heritier and the band haven’t really been promoting the album like they should...but quite.

I have two ideas, either they want to start in france  channels, then release mi demon and promote both,or since wata obeys a lot to monsoh they could have a plan to start from their planned tour in ivory coast in the beginning of coming year
as for the band, heritier has been giving them restriction not to go much on tv unless he allows,in order to avoid them falling in the trap of polemic and while defending him saying things which would backfire on him

Risky business because right now it seems like this album came out 6months ago

Excellent review Archos. I’ve been playing this album more than Tokoss II and the more I listen the more it grows on me. Racoeur is such a great gem and it’s so poetic. This rumba is in the same league as Confession Intime and BM in my opinion. My only issue are the lack of sebenes. Hopefully this will be satisfied with Mi-Demon. Any word when this will drop?

I agree with Archos and JV, it is a waste to do this strategy especially in these times where promotion is key, is not the Wenge time anymore where good music was enough to give you space, I like the fact Héritier's générique is reaching a milion slowly it shows that he grow as a générique maker but he should promote the other songs more and just leave Monsoh talk because this strategy will hurt him in the long run, but why do Fally, Héritier, and many other guyeld who work with Monsoh follow him blindly? What he have of so charismatic?

Exactly, meanwhile Fally has been busy promoting his album through concerts, social media and interviews or just random posts of him singing one of the songs from the album.
