Werrason may have his band problems but comparing him , his maison mere with little golois band is another insult of the highest order. Ferre gola may not be the way he is without publicity he got from wenge maison mere. He has formed his little band but he is three oceans away from producing a classic in the likes of kibwisa mpimpa let alone solola bien. To me, this guitarist is just pulling a public stant and keeping his job. Were was he when gola was a thin boy in wenge.

They are all jokers. The FIFA thing wasn't a good response. You don't have to be the best footballer to be in FIFA. If Herritier says he is Messi and Ferre responds by saying he is Sepp Blater and then we ask the world who is more loved and is a better footballer they will definitely go for Messi. The work of a national team and governing body are very different. He would have scored a point if he said Ferre is Brazil while Werra is Congo DR. Ferre himself used to call WMM equipe nationale when he was part of them. His situation is just like Klinsman. He played for Germany and was one of the key players but he left and is now coaching USA. Should Germany stop calling themselves a national team just because Klinsman left....NO!!!!!.

In terms of impact. That team WMM had was very good. In terms of individual efforts... Among Werra's boys Bill had more impact than all even though what made WMM was a combination of all. What drove and defined WMM at a time JB and Koffi were blazing hot rhumbas were sebenes and Bill did much of the work and his combo with Celeo was fire. When you mention Solola Bien, Kibwisa, Ala queue leu leu.....most people will think about the generiques and latter other things. When you mention Zenith, Bercy, Stade de Matuers....Its the work by bill, the instruments and then latter on you can think about the backing vocals and lines by different artists. In most cases actually people refers to the famous calls by Bill and the instruments on Ala queue leu leu  as Zenith.

On concerts. After the combatants came on the scene musicians no longer make good money from concerts. Its the concerts in europe that gave them good cash and not the pretense loitering within Congo and Africa. There are cost involved in these concerts and most of them prefer not loitering. Look at koffi, JB, Werra, Wemba, Wazekwa..they are all no longer doing concerts not that they cant but the energy put in those compared to what they get. Most of them would go to hotels within Congo, Mayi Ya Pembe and keep their fans busy during practices while hopping the combatant issue is resolved. They still get good cash from beer sponsors, business men and footballers. If a national team is banned playing international games very few are interested in playing face saver games with small local clubs within the country.

So all the talk is just polemique between a tree and its offshoots. WHICH IS NORMAL, AT LEAST THEY GIVE US SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT!!!

What is happening is mere polemic which the two bands understand very well. It mainly benefits Maison Mere.
Ferre Gola may be young and only 6 or 7 years into his solo career but what he's achieved can only be ignored or brushed aside by someone who is really stupid. At the moment, Ferre and Fally are ruling and are in demand the world over, the bigger stars are all finished and docile especially Werrason who doesn't go anywhere apart from La Zamba. JB Mpiana at least tours within Congo,it's the same for Koffi who has managed a few tours within Africa so it's Werra who is dormant therefore saying Ferre is far behind is living in denial yet everyone is dancing to his music and he's being invited by even national leaders and other VIP's to perform at private functions etc

You're right, I think I better stop answering and just laugh.
I wish someone neutral could translate the whole interview for everyone to understand because most of the things Marchouse said are actually true and his counter attack is very powerful, Sankara will have nothing to respond with coz he's really been finished by Marchouse in this interview. Lol.

Sly et valentino, its not good to hide your target in replies by not mentioning names. Its clear you targeting me and die hard fans of werrason. I am not a die hard fan of werrason but at least I am not stupid enough to since I don't deny the fact that ferre is a small fish in the river. Who is ferre to be compared to werrason. Take the two to zennith with their bands to play to the same audience and see how the boy will be bashed. Werrason has a better disscography and that is the measurement unit I am using. Sly, being a Zambian, I am the least you can call stupid in here. This forum can crack if you go that way.

EMO, I have not mentioned any names and I have not insulted anyone so I don't know what your case is.
This is also the second time you're mentioning my nationality when addressing me, I find it rather unacceptable. This is an open forum where most people do not use their real names or say where they originate from, not that I hide my identity, but I don't see the reason why you keep saying "fellow Zambian" all the time, what is so special about being Zambian?
This is an open forum, people are free to come and go so it's not that you have to be here because we are from the same country. I don't benefit anything from running this forum, unlike the old forums which were free, this one is paid for and apart from me and Bencuri, no one else contributes money to run it, we have provided a free platform for people to enjoy and everyone is welcome, we do not hold anyone to ransom, the door is open for people to walk in or leave anytime.
Avoid being personal, we have been together on forums for over 7 years now, you should know better how forums run that's why I keep telling people not to take things personal when debating unless someone addresses you directly.

Emo you are being emotional and irrational, taking a mere discussion to a personal level.
If we start thinking of being stupid, I think u would qualify without diffculty, with your paramount nationality. " You hv just lowered yourself"

Sly never mentioned your name yet u r launching an attack, I think if u r congolese then. U should learn to appreciate that non congolese love congolese music, other than thinking u r better only bcz u r congolese.

On the same note, with your wisdom that u hv been so endowed with. I would humbly ask u to find the meanng of "Little or small", then you will get the definition of ferre's. Band.

I am not congolese and I found it very lame to call sly stupid based his nationality n views. If u think u know better, why don't u run the fucken forum yourself. You said u will crack it right.?

Don't be lame man.. Allow yourself time to think with your brains before your fingers does it for you.

guys calm down please.............relax and enjoy the world cup
no need for strong words because of  some musicians who could not care less about us....
either  pro-werras or against(or supposedly against...) should take it easy please guys
i insist on that because i never see such thing about fally,jb,koffi,wazekwa....always threads mentioning werra in any way are turning that way
we do not need that, there is too much passion when its about werra and that's sad....i wish from now on  either pro and against will be able to make difference between what is fun, what is a bit of friendly stick and  personal attacks towards werra or defending him...
have a nice days guys, and remember werra has two eyes two feets two arms like us....AFTER ALL

Werrason has not done anything for me to be bitter,he's neither my brother, father or rival so why would I have any grudge?
Guys, I repeat, put emotions aside and be more mature. This is a forum, on forums you find people who either love or loathe your favourite artists, it is the reason why we are here, to debate and share information, if you don't like what one is saying, you counter argue but don't engage in cheap rhetoric and get personal, it's just music and all these musicians are not our relatives. Stop making these musicians into some form of idols as the bible forbids idolatry, relax for heavens sake.

Ferre is a non starter, he cant even fill a sitting room here in East Africa, the only Musicians we adore from Congo are Werra, JB, Koffi and to some extent Fally, let him man up and produce classics like Solola Bien, TH, or Effrakata for him to be in this group.

My brother or sister, Ferre has fans everywhere so if he's not adored by you in East Africa, you should still know that there are still some people there who adore him maybe even in your own home.

There was a time I used to despise Fally Ipupa's music and never bothered with it but then my family back in Africa kept asking me for Fally's music, I used tell them that Ferre was better but they never paid attention so when I visited home, we were on a long journey,my young brother and mother both major fans of Fally so they were putting Fally's music and I too was putting Ferre's music and at the time they  kept asking me who was singing when I played Ferre Gola so I told them it's the same Ferre I have been telling them about Ferre so in the end they switched to Ferre and I also started paying more attention to Fally because I listened to a lot of his music on that journey now we all enjoy Fally and Ferre's music, that's how easy we take things. I personally listen to everything be it by Werra, koffi,JB, if there's anything I like or hate about someone's music,i will say it like I know for a fact that Werrason's song Likambo qualifies to be the best song of the decade because it has a very powerful message and Werrason sang his heart out for mothers out there.

I live and travel a lot within East Africa, I know what is on the ground which you don't know, Ferre is in the same league with likes of Kabose, JDT and Celeo, his songs are not played even in City buses let alone Clubs. The only song by Ferre which is even played regular by Congolese band in their shows is Vita Imana.

My friend, Congolese music is loved everywhere in the world not just East Africa, continue believing what you believe and i'll believe what I believe. I am from Southern/Central Africa, Zambia to be precise and I visit Zambia a lot, we too have varied opinions and favourite musicians. Despite the fact that the dominance of Congolese music in Zambia has been killed off by modern Zambian music, we still have joints where they also play Congolese music and it's Fally and Ferre who are ruling, the likes of Celeo,Kabose ,Bill etc are not even known in Zambia, Werrason is known for Sololá Bien and Malewa, Koffi for songs such as Loi,Magie, SKol Mandramanda etc but come to Europe, the scenario is completely differerent. anyway, I think we must agree that me and you can never agree on one thing so let's just live like that without crossing each others paths especially by avoiding getting personal.

Tunutu is telling the truth. Even here in Zambia, when you are in a rumba bar, the songs that top come from fally, jb, werra, koffi and to add wazekwa. When ferre is played, its vita imana or 100 kilo, that's all. I don't hate him but facts are facts.

Guys, Ferre,Fally,JB, Papa Wemba, Koffi, Werra and Wazekwa are some of the top musicians to ever come out of congo and they have fans spread across the globe so just because one of them isn't appreciated by you or their music is not played in the bars you go to doesn't mean those guys are not popular. It is a fact that most of us have regular clubs we go to ,we do not visit all the bars so our judgement can be poor.
Just last week in Paris there was a poll about Ferre and Fally ,they said Boite Noire is being played more than Kosa Leka and most fans said Ferre was doing proper music but we cannot say Fally's music is not playing or his album is not appreciated, each of the musicians is doing very well internationally.

Ferre and his group are a nursery for Maison Mere and I said it before. WMMM is the university of Wenge ans I would go as far as saying that all musician in the groups of the Maison Mere family aspire to achieve the highest honour of joining Werrason. Werrason has proved ALL there needs to prove. He's taken and prevailed against Koffi and JB arguably the most formidable singers and performers of the last 20 years. Who is Ferre compared to those 2? A nobody not even worthy to wipe Fally's arse. He better be advised to pick his enemies wisely or he'll be loitering the streets of Gombe without a group after they've all deserted to Maison Mere.

Iam a fan of Ferre. he was my favorite in singer in his days in WMM. Iam not a cadre who hates musicians because they have left Werra. They cant be in that band for good. They have to move on at some point....its life. Ferre is the most successful of Werra's offsprings. He arguably has the best voice of the current known Congo artists. There are things I like about him there are also things I want him to improve on and my opinion as his fan should not be disputed. Music is like food. If I say I cant eat chicken everyday for a week its not right for someone to jump up and say Iam wrong because chicken is nice.

Some people cant talk about Ferre without comparing him to Werra. To anyone who can read between the lines they simply make Werra a yardstick. Why not compare how good Ferre is in relation to JB or Koffi. Let me point a few facts here:
- There was a time Deplik was called an artists who is not impressive but a mare photocopy of Fally...now that he has left Werra he is a darling.
- There was a time Brigade was called not impressive and irritating as he bends down all the time as though he is searching for a needle....the moment he left Werra he was a darling and one of the best tenor atalukus.
-Arnake was a fine artist while with Ferre but now that he is with Werra he is called a foolish guy who doesn't appreciate what Ferre did for him and struggles to sing..... When it comes to Ferre leaving Werra he simply moved on as he was never paid well and it was an excellent move.
- Matadien joins Ferre its a good move as he suits Ferre's style and will get chance. Arnake joins Werra....Werra will never change his bad manners of stealing musicians
- Concerts.....there are Zambian musicians who play for 400 dollars every weekend in all sorts of bars but JK, Danny only go for big deals and have already made their names. They don't need to do a million less profitable trips to be known.

Who is better? It depends on what you want.
Who has done more? Non starter....such arguments can better be left for cadres who would want to sell sand to Arabs in the desert.

MY JUDGEMENT....STRICTLY MY OPINION
-Werra has..Intervention Rapid, Solola Bien, Kibuisa, Ala queue leu leu, Alerte general, Temoignage, Sou Soul, Mayi Yasika, Malewa.......gues these are trash compared to Ferre's three record breaking albums.
- Ferre has done uncomparable concerts while Werra's Zenith, Bercy, Hall de la Gombe, Stade de Matuers, Stade de France, Kora 2005, Angola, Kikwiti 2005, Ivory Cost 2000, London 2000....are all crap.
-Generiques....Who is Werra compared to the great generiques Ferre has done that are household names. people dance to them the world over without knowing who played them.
-Kalay Boeng, Coco madimba, Funny, Anne, Kofi Ayina, Augustine Ngaly, Tave, Obiang, 13 Ans, Blandine, Miss Margo, temoignage, tellephone, wabelo are so monotonous and way below average compared to Ferre's excellent and wide variety of songs.

SO WE ARE ALL FANS WITH LITTLE INFLUENCE ON THESE GUYS. LETS JUST DEBATE NICELY. BY THE WAY NO MATTER HOW MANY PAGES YOU WRITE FACTS ARE FACTS AND YOU WONT CHANGE THEM.

Nkosi and Werra, you have some valid points however what we should remember is that Ferre is not compared to Werra, this little polemic between Ferre and Werra is all about Werra's stealing of Ferre's musicians but otherwise the two artists cannot be compared, Ferre is a better singer whilst Werra is an accomplished entertainer who has nothing else to prove, Ferre has a lot to prove and has a long way but so far so good, he's started better than Werra started so the sky is the limit for him.
