About Manda Chante
The biggest failure of Clan is this man. He has managed to make good but semi-mediocre music. He has become a shadow of himself. Even with great music, he just shows that he is a sad character. I don't know why any Wenge personnel picked this man to part of this band. He should have never been in Wenge Musica. He is the greatest shame to the Clan Wenge.
Koffi Olomide is a big star partially because he benefited from helps of others like a Papa Wemba or a Debaba. Without them, Koffi would have never existed. I can tell you that.

Wenge Musica picked him because he was back in the days the best singer of Ndjili. He was then singing the band of Fifi Mofude (ex' Anti Choc singer) alongside with Babia Ndonga. He proved it the album of Pleins Feux, where got vocals in the song Nazareth of JB Mpiana and Jugement par Defaut by Werrason. There was a moment that people where saying that J.B. Mpiana was fearing Manda Chante, because he was singing better than him and that he wanted him out of the band by poisoning him. Wenge Musica could difficultly find a good replacer of Manda Chante, when he decided to leave Wenge for Wenge El Paris. At that time his vocal in Kalayi Boeing was a big hit. Guys like Adjani, Babia Ndonga, Tutu Calugi, Aimelia, etc. came all for a test in Wenge Musica to replace . It took Wenge-fans months to accept finally Aimelia as Manda's replacer. Many youngsters at that time were seeing as a role -model like JB Mpiana & Werrason and wanted to sing like him. Especially guys from his quarter Ndjili, where he had in the past a big fanbase.
Manda Chante was unlucky to join Wenge El Paris just before they had a fall-out with Mobutu's son Kongolo. But still considered as leader, since he was co-leading El Paris with Marie Paul and Depitcho was then the rival-band of Wenge 4x4. Stealing at time Wenge 4x4-fans by performing a lot in quarters like Masina, Lemba, N'djili, Kingasani ya Suka, Matete, Ngaba, Kisenso and Wenge 4x4 getting more and more a band of rich youngster by getting close to Saddam Hussein, Silva Gbemani, etc. But the Wenge El Paris "fans" called "ba ndimi" the believers/worshipper in in English had in reality still Wenge 4x4 in their heart, hence why they followed Werrason after that Marie Paul gave him that secret.
Manda Chante proved himself 4 years later in the Monde l'envers-album with his songs Ibrahim, Junior, Liberte and Silva doing the tenor-role himself the whole album. He was then voted as best singer of the year in Congo a the next year he did the same thing with the Couvre-Feu album. Many music-producers where then following him and motivating him to start a solo-career, being also aware about the many fall-outs between him & Depitcho against Marie Paul. Which he finally did after years of hesitation. But he was unlucky that at the same era the Werra vs JB beef just started to get hot and that everybody was to focused on that and also that Marie Paul was fighting him spiritual heavily with him looking for help to pastors like Dennie Lessie, etc. hence why he dedicated them much in his first solo-album. With his elder brothers JB & Werra doing everything that he could not get contracts, since they feared him because they knew his potential.
