Still hard to believe he's gone

Really sad,still finding it hard to believe. I wonder why Biscuits des Ecoliers didn't go to Abidjan, i only saw Djamusket on animation thoughout the 25 minute performance.

That rhythm guitarist,he must be new,i have never seen him before,sounds good,hope he knows Costa Pinto's style.

biscuit was serving a suspension for one concert abroad  he was meant to re perform at that concert in mbudi a suburb almost outside  kinshasa should papa have come back on 28th like planned

Ah i see. What really happened. I saw some recent videos where he was giving a lot of interviews and indicating that he might be going solo,what offence did he commit?

I really commend Wemba for keeping Biscuit des Ecoliers and Bob Djamusket together for 15 years; something that's usually unheard of. I was always a big fan of the two, despite their vocal similarities and they were worthy successors to Alphatshino.

Like Papa Wemba stated, an album without a generique is like an arm without a hand. The maxi-single and future group album were meant to have a healthy dose of generiques and sebene songs with his young instrumentalists. The extremely popular, but once censored "Nkila Mongroso" was set to return in album.

He had so many musical plans for the year, so sad. Still trying to processing that's he's gone and Viva la Musica will likely be no more.

indeed there was viva's maxi then towards end of the year album  then his own projects  of next album and he also planned a hip hop album aswell as a bomoko album they were discussing with jb,werra,wazekwa,mbilia bel,tshala muana and co
 i admire the way papa wemba dealt with other musicians in the last years,really put himself in a true elder brother position and barely made any of those  shock sentences due to his "naive" sincerity like he used to do in the past(only exception is the case with koffi ofcourse)
from what i hear,papa kinda prepared some of his musicians to the  after-him,bendoson made hints about it in an interview,i believe if there is no ego thing viva will survive,they just need somebody strong to be around,a guy like zacle for example with his contacts and experience can help the group to continue existing,and the guys keep saying ivorian authorities have granted them they would be welcome to record albums over there with their full support

I hope the band carries on with the support offered by the Ivorians. Hope the Congolese govt can also offer something. Let's see how they sort out the leadership issues first because they need a new leader.
