i always wonder  how this album never went gold .. to me this is the best of werra son ever ..
was it due to a lack of promotion or just a bad luck thing .. every time i listen to this album i get goosebumps. this album is one of the best  Wenge's  album after  pentagon and feux  de l'amour and titanic .

I agree it Werra's best solo work and in the my list of top 5 solo albums. It was released after years of anticipation by MM fans after he announced it when JB was enjoying the success of Feux de L'Amour. Definitely worth the wait - at that point he had arguably the best band of all the artists.

The whole gold disc designation process has never been clear, which has lead many to question it's validity over the years. From what I understand it meant 100,000 album sales from label approved vendors (mostly in Europe). Werra and Wenge MM's fanbase was overwhelmingly in Kin-DRC and East Africa at the time (factor in all the African music vendors and street vendors). Nevertheless, I remember his fan club and staff stating to the heads of JPS and other music executives that album should've designated gold because the sales were easily over 100,000.

Lets not forget that the massive success of the album got Werra got Kora awards. He was told soon after the album release he had dates in 2002 to perform at Zenith not once, but back-to-back. Like JB used to say Zenith + Olympia (Zenith has a higher audience capacity) = Disc d'Or

The chorus of Tave and transition to sebene is fantastic:

this album was special and especially the generique until today i have to restart it about 10 Times still wondering how on earth they managed to arrange animation in that specific order  with celeo's part only towards the end
different types of songs, going from the classic love songs like blandine, powerful generiques and sebene songs with some folkloric touch, a fantastic order of songs on the cds, solid songs by good songwriters(tave,blandine,13 ans by serge mabiala co-written with pascal poba and do akongo,un prince au congo by shela asanti and senado, destin ya moto which is a reworked version of a song given by kibens since 4X4....),the rather original rocknroll  love song to mampata who from what i heard had briefly left nsone as she got scared of the spiritual level he was getting into, the ambassador of peace song with manu dibango and nathalie makoma..
