,the context is very different from the past,notice how our music has dropped big time since temps present which is probably the last album fully recorded in europe
recording and touring in europe was giving extra motivation to work harder and internet has brought two things ,with internet you can make generique go viral with big promotion,and internet has brought bigger pressure to release often while the conditions have changed a lot so leaders give their best to promote one hit eg selfie ya mado and co but not too long after there is pressure to release again bec ause public is now very demanding so they can make a generique success then at some point its buzz drops big time because the guy has to offer something new or fans forget quickly aswell
for example fally and original, great success biggest number of views in a congolese music at the moment,but its been a while already that people are acting like it never happened and saying fally has gone downhill,he is wasting too much time to release something new and stuff like that
so for me two or three factors,the extra motivation of recording in europe, the lack of patience of fans to make generique last long term and quite clearly today's team are not as talented as in the past aswell so its not the same lavel of quality you'll get
and one thing which surprised me here aswell is how succesful generiques in concerts are,you'd be surprised to see how for example some live extracts of jb,or lacoste's likimbi in live are played in bars and nightclubs much mure more than many studio generiques
