Yeah,following comments on facebook, they are saying if he goes he'll be killed...................I don't think they would,it would be the best Christmas present ever of the people talking will be in white suits dancing at Zenith. :lol:

Zenith is one of the largest concert halls in Paris and also houses recording studios,it's had a number of top world musicians performing there,it seats over 6,000 people,only top Congolese musicians manage to play there and fill those seats,JB Mpiana has performed there before but that was ages ago when he ruled,that's the time after the separation of Wenge Musica.

the reason "he could be killed" is that he is among those who sung for campaign of president kabila who is hated by many congolese here in europe and america,so they decided they would punish those who sung for him by forbidding concerts and threatening verbally and physically  those artists and even their group members
they promised they would let marie paul the leader of wenge el paris who sung for "their president" to perform in europe but thats months he's there now but they have not respected their word
its all a bit confused,there is a lot of hypocricy in that situation because whenever i see combattants refusing concerts here in kinshasa they are in concerts dancing like mad and showering money on leaders
so honestly, i am a half optimistic,other half of me fears stupid things will happen again
the theme of this concert is brilliant,jb has agreed to give his money from that concert to associations helmping people in the east of congo where there is war and it would be stupid to be against a good project like this
 fally and ferre are also set to have that type of concerts in december
but then this can lead to another problem,if jb,fally,ferre perform without trouble  and werra or wazekwa or koffi decide to perform aswell and are  threatened,it will again end up in childish stuff those who forbid the concerts insulting koffi werra wazekwa and artists claiming they are victims of tribalism and stuff like that

so you mean its not yearly that they perform in zenith? wow! how special is this venue and what about Olympia?
What is the rough estimate of the fortune these artistes get when they perform there? who are some of the artistes said to be most successful performing there?

Jb has performed there once,koffi 6 times i think werra 4 times,wemba 1 or 2 times,KESTER 1 or 2 times aswell,zaiko 1 time,wazekwa 1 time,ferre 1 time,fally 2times
zenith is not actually " that" prestigious when we take it from a french point of view,in fact there are zeniths in every big french city but zenith of paris is a big event for african musicians
olympia is the real prestigious hall,and even from a french point of view,if you perform at olympia then you are definitely entering the category of big artists
as for the revenue,its difficult to tell since some zenith happened during the francs era,and some in the euro era but for sure those guys got at the very least 30 000 euros
actually all of them had succesful zeniths except wazekwa whose concert was performed in very very complicated conditions

its simple olympia has maximum 3000 seats,whereas zenith can go up to  7000 depending of the configuration
for them,zenith is then more important since there are more seats
if you can fill zenith seats it means you have a certain level of popularity and if  your popularity is much bigger than zenith you can play at bercy where there are over 15 000 seats
to explain you that logic,i will give you example of werrason who has never played at olympia and doesnt really seem interessed unless he plays there several consecutive days because for him 3000 seats is too somall a crowd for a guy of his popularity so he prefers zenith
werra is the only congolese artist in history to have played at bercy before playing at zenith

I would say in Swahili language, 'ENDELEA archos' that simply means 'keep going archos' I just like this!! so you can now agree with me that Koffi if a bit 'special' having performed at zenith 6 times and even Wemba only once? then that is an achievement brother. how many times has Koffi performed in bercy? thank you for all the information
