Been having the time to listen to this fun album, this here 2nd generique is pure unfiltered fire, they played it at a few congolese functions here in DC, mann fireeeeeeee the atalaku Biraman Rouge is so versatile and yet so underrated mann !!!!!!!, what do you guys  think ?

What happens, is this the only style accepted there in Braza?

I concur. The talent is there, but all these Brazza generiques have sounded too similar for the past 12 years or so now. Even down to the Kevin's way of doing mabanga, which mimics Roga Roga.

I don't know brother i think as though people only really listen to Extra more than any other band, Patrouille des stars has been somewhat at the same as extra domestically for years, but Roga has deep pocketed support so he gets moe exposure...Since the the impression des As first came out late 90's , Roga has blatantly incorporated other elements from other popular band that was competing for the spotlight...But don't all ndombolo/souous sound alike, drums, bingos, guitars and all?
i just hope other bands start getting some type of exposure as well, but i agree with you wholeheartedly, the talent is there

It is annoying for these guys not to play something different. I like the way Kevin Mbenga is doing his rhumbas but for the generiques I don't like because they try so much to play Roga's style.
