A composition from Strevos Niarcos (dedicated to Marie-Therese Bumba) from the first album he recorded in Europe: Papa Wemba le Kuru Yaka & les Djamuskets de Paris. Recorded early 1982 and released by Franco Luambo's label. Working with Djamuskets, Europe session artists, he left Viva in Zaire with Emeneya as the administrator for 6-7 months, but no pay.
In fact, there was little to no news from Wemba in Europe; this of course lead to speculation that he was imprisoned for not having papers, even dead. He made a heroic return in I believe July or August via Brazzaville and released Evenement under label Inza-Inter, which angered Kester and Viva members. Kester then went on to orchestrate the development of a new band with the assistance of Verckys: Victoria eleison de les Douze Apôtres -> Victoria Elesion that October.
Despite the drama with Viva - at this point became clear Wemba was one of, if not, the best vocalist from Zaire.
