That's because Doudou Copa, Patrouilles des Stars and Universal Zangul took Brazza over and many people where not appreciating Extra Musica anymore, due to Roga Roga wanting to dominate the band by singing more and more, missing the old team spirit (from the Etat Major/Shalai days) and many people where saying at that time that Extra became to monotonous with there sebenes and preferring to hear Coupe-Decale tracks from Brazza & Pointe Noire (guys like DJ Oussama, DJ Rama etc.) with also the Rumba-virus taking Brazza over due to the succes of Koffi Olomide, Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola, Karmapa & Doudou Copa.





So that's why Roga Roga decided to change the style of Extra Musica, by making generics where the rhythm-guitar dominates alot. In order to fight the Decale-Brazza virus.



this is the second generic from the Kindoki-album, it was released two years before the official release of the album and it was big succes. The result was that since the succes of this generic all bands from Brazza started to make to those kind of generic where there is almost not a lead-guitar. After having imposed this style in Brazza, Roga stated in a recent interview with journalist Hugues Vogel that they will go back to the orginal Extra-style in the upcoming Extra Musica-album 242 with him going back to play lead-guitar along.

Im glad Roga was one of the few that actually tried to fight the rhumba/ Coupe-Decale Movement. Although he did follow the rhumba movement a little, Im glad he didn't completely let it take over his music.

 I never noticed the rhythm guitar taking over the lead one either. That's very interesting. No wonder Roga wasn't playing the guitar those years up until now. Also you said the next Extra Musica album will be like the older ones with him on the lead guitar? That gets me extremely excited!
