Totally agree at least it pushed them to produce quality music to top their rivals now it's all about stupid polemic they better put their strenght to put better music instead of boring rumbas

guys like heritier bragging about pulling a crowd at airport are quite funny now that's one hell of a crazy crowd

Wenge BCBG'S arrival in Kinshasa from the Ndjili-Airport till the GHK. Breaking their own record of crown of the previous year and that of Maison Mere 2 months earlier. I wonder if they would ever welcome Fally, Ferre, Heritier & Fabregas like that in their carreer.



JB's arrival at the GHK (at that time called Intercontinental) annoucing the Stade des Martyrs-concert with Miette Shegue, Nono ba Diamants, Marcation, Monica Celeste & Alain Mpela. Many people awaited also Aimelia arrival, but he stayed Europe, something what disspointed many BCBG-fans. hahaha I found that Nono & Marcation exaggerated with wearing Indian clothes.



JB Mpiana arrival in Stade des Martyrs. He was the first artist to really fill the stadium, while Werrason, Papa Wemba, Koffi Olomide & Emeneya who all performed their before him failed to do that. After this concert the war begun between Maison Mere & BCBG about filling Stade des Martyrs more than the concurrent, like they did the earlier that year with concerts at Palais du Peuple

Mopao & Nsone where not happy that JB Mpiana filled the stadium. I wonder how Werrason was able to get so much esteem after the Wenge-split from his elder brothers Tabu Ley, Verckys, Pepe Kalle, Koffi, Ben Nyamabo, Defao, etc. even from his sisters Mbilia Bel & Tshala Muana and the late L.D. Kabila with his governement, while JB had nobody on his back, except Papa Wemba and people of his tribe. What went wrong from the split till the Titanic-days ? Was it because he disrespected Tabu Ley without knowing during the negotiates to bring Wenge 4x4 back ? or was it the interview he made before Titanic where mocked Werra that he could only perform in quarters like Masina, Kingasani, Ndjili (which made many fans of him in those quarters who followed him after the split leave him for Werra)

All of those guys were probably jealous and felt intimidated by JB's success at the time. They were cool with werrason because he wasn't a threat to them yet.

 indeed part of that but also how werra remained with only ferre masela mabanga japonais ali mbonda it attracted a lot of sympathy so even with the tribal division bandundu vs kasai werra still got  support of kasai artists bar papa wemba

  lol on another note  seguin played well funny how it was almost not felt that there was a change of drummer there and in zenith and jb made me laugh with that spin move  while doing his solo dance,shows how much those guys were throwing it all  to win fans over

Why do I feel Werra doesn't get the respect he deserves in this forum and especially from the senior members? Granted that he's not that flamboyant vocalist like JB, Mpela, Koffi, Ferre or Fally but his work speaks for him. There's more to music than just being able to sing. Felix Wazekwa who isn't such a spectacular singer doesn't get as much spite as Werra does.

Accrediting Werra's success and popularity to "sympathy votes" and as a result of "stuff said by JB" is being dishonest. The guy had and still has a plan which he executed to near perfection. His seemingly more gifted peers from Wenge have literally fizzled off from the music scene including the revered Papa Cherrie and Werra is still going strong. At what point are we going to accept that there are probably a couple of things about the music business that Werra understands better than the rest?

Maybe It's time for JB to start giving us more that just being "a jolly good fella" if this low key vibe on Werra is going to be sustainable. Otherwise let's give Werra credit for being there during the storm, riding the storm and still standing tall.

And I'm saying this with a lot of respect for the senior members. I learn a lot from you but I'm just not too keen with the Werra "bashing" if I can call it that for lack of better word
