koffi delivers again. he even managed kirikou's voice with great production and complimentary animation and vocals from himself and the rest of the band. kirikou might not have the voice but there is no atalaku in congo right now creating the same cries he is creating in quartier latin this moment. even the fally that all of us adore is someone lacking in vocal range. presentation can make up for deficiencies like koffi masterfully produced and handled on this track the kirikou voice that the likes of werrason and ferre gola were never able to make attractive and productive.

you guys gotta keep up with the times. sometimes, there is just too much whining and wishing for the "old times" on here. i dare say even the koffi albums with cindy are great. i don't care what you old timers and "purists" on here say. artists are creatures who are always discovering growing and creating. most of you on here don't even know lingala like myself. a congolese friend of mine just explained to me what the scenarios are for the cries kirikou is creating in QL right now and they are very allegorical and funny. i appreciate them even more after understanding the context. we non-lingala speakers need to start appreciating that. the majority of people on here just want the music the way they heard it in their earlier days but what the song actually means or is saying is of no importance whatsoever. well that is just absurd because what the words mean are very important, especially the words of the beautiful language that is lingala.

 koffi and artists in general do not owe you anything. they are spiritual beings always existing in the realms where their inspirations creativity and expression take them. appreciate what they discover and relay to the rest of us or keep it moving. what you do not like you discard.

my friends and i still bang "selfie" more than any other generique out there a year plus later. we will soon add "nyataquance" to our replay list no doubt.

 mopao is always creating and discovering. even the "old" koffi that all of you on here adore so much was a revolutionary koffi because "tchatcho" was a radical break from previous congolese rumba and is an exclusive koffi genre in and of itself. y'all keep up with the creative and forever curious and adventurous koffi and stop whining too much please. appreciate the longetivity and staying power of the man. in his sixties and he is still taking to the cleaners those who are supposed to be his heirs and the heirs of congolese music.

When you're saying that it seems like we have to force ourselves to like every new songs Koffi Werra and co have released recently.

No man if I (and others) don't like the current trend full of senseless rumbas with sexual references (they going to far man you have to understand lingala)  and the same type of lyrics which are always about love, that's our right.

And I think it's justified because our music has never been as low as it is
: repetitive albums,leaders who don't really give their artists opportunities except Fally and Ferre (and I personnally think they can do more) lack of european tours because of thé "combattants" issue, silly polemics who become very personal and stupid and they better put their energy to produce quality music instead of behaving like kids, copying ivoiran nigerian style which is to me very bad move we should stick to our roots and to what we know to do better than others because copying coupe décalé style is not benefic for our music.

So don't be surprised if people who witnessed the 80's 90's early 2000's don't feel the music of Fally,Ferre,Fabregas,Héritier, Deplik,Robinho and don't tell us to not express our thoughts.

Not as good as they went to an actual beef with Ferre for, I'll say Kirikou's part was good but other then that the song is trash.

Bless your hearts Masatomo and CM Prince...The rudeness these days on the forum is unparalleled. We keep forgetting that this is a public forum and not anybody's home where we "think" we can control what people should listen to or like or which artiste to support. It is becoming tiring when people come on here to throw words around all in the name of what I don't know.
We have all got different musical tastes and that should be respected at every point. Air your opinion without being rude and move on.
Ken Bilele once said it here that it is just music that we should chill and act mature about our approach to things yet most of us are way behind that .
Please we sincerely need mature thoughts on this forum. It is a virtual forum people act like this,I wonder what would have happened if it had been a physical one where we get to see eye to eye.
