Secondly, I now conclude that from a personal point of view, JB is not great, he was only lucky that the beef between him and Werrason threw him in the view of Congolese music fans. JB would not be known today if it was not for that rivalry. He also took strength from Afande, Makaba, Titina etc.....the moment he was left by these great guys, his career has been on the downhill. It was evident when I swallowed a bitter pill during Anti-terro CD.

It's Werrason who profited the most from the JB-Werra rivalery. JB was the person who lost everything. Because he was from day 1, when Mulolo came out the image of Wenge 4x4 and the succes of Feux de l'Amour let him reach another dimension. Guys like Koffi Olomide, Emeneya, Marie Paul, etc. were jealous of him and wanted his head off. So they were waiting for the right moment to do that and that was with the Wenge-split, with almost everybody supporting Werrason. JB was also naïve by saying things that he shouldn't say on tv. I remember that alot of Wenge BCBG-fans went towards Wenge MM, because he denigrated their quarters (Bana Tshangu) and an angry Tabu Ley who asked his collegues and mates to support Werrason, since that JB disrespected him during the negociaties to bring Wenge 4x4 back (before the split). The succes was getting on JB's head and after his arrival in Kinshasa '98 it was diffcult for the press to contact him, because he started to himself like an god "Souverain 1er" and you had then to contact Roger Ngandu and co before meeting him. So it made Werrason getting the press automaticly in his pocket, since it was then easy to find him. JB was also stupid to react on Sankara's and Werrason's provocations, which was boosting Maison Mere more. With the Maison-Mere camp starting  with gossip-stories and alot of people starting to hate JB with at a moment also politicians getting involded to block his succes. The 5 years ban in Europe is a good example. Hence why he sung the song Ezau from Anti Terro, who is about Werrason profiting from the split to get sympathy from the peoples and stealing his benedictions and the real story about Wenge's succes. In Accapella from T.H., he sung about Werra & Masela being happy about him during the Wenge 4x4-days and later turning against him with the pain of being hated by everybody.

I have personally left dust to settle on JB, I no longer care about him like I used to. In fact I have realized that had I given him a red card long time ago, I would be richer in Congolese music and history by today. I worshipped him like a small curio God. I ignored Werrason, Wemba, Zaiko, Koffi not realizing until today that these other guys are great and have been producing better music. I have since opened a rhumba pub in Lusaka and I play all kinds of rumba music from all artists. What I have come to realise is that fans of JB are only 1% while most song requests are for other artists. That just shows how JB has fucked up his career. Its a pity really to see such a gem rotting with Kibense and Rio for 100 years.

I saw Tutu at rehearsals,  is he back with WBCBG?

jb says its up to tutu and anyways they can create a special status for him  so that he plays a couple of concerts goes back to europe  to live his life then comes whenever he wants since bcbg is home for him
 i could not talk to tutu in person yet but from the info i ve got if jb can guarantee him a car and a house he is definitely up for becoming a bcbg member again
