patou was born in 1982 in kinshasa and grew up in a very religious family praying at a church called BIMA,and will be around 12 learning to play on makeshift guitars after hearing older brothers from his area play partitions of alain makaba,beniko popolipo...
But his dad will often break his makeshift guitars fearing that he loses focus in class as people already sense in him talent despite bad quality of his guitars
around 16 he will be like most of young guys of his age playing football and is even spotted by scouts of good teams of DRC but his parents absolutely want him to go far in school and end up having a more respectable job than music
but as a compromise he starts playing guitar at church while focusing on class
in 2000 when he graduates from high school he'll ask to go to INA and learn music more professionally which he convinces his dad to with a lot of difficulty and he tells his dad he will study something else later
 and in INA he will meet a lot of talents like freddy makola"marchouse",olivier tshimanga,candy nkunku" cindy"...and he starts feeling he needs to join a group which is touring around the world and starts asking around himself if some people know guys in big groups so that they can introduce him and most are reluctant to help him out because of his father
and he will decide on his own to go to tests in big groups and goes to maison mere for tests but he is beaten by bodyguards and returns home lying that he was injured while playing football
one week later he goes to wenge bcbg but there also he is denied access but luckily for him  on his way back he will meet genta lisimo,who will tell him he'll do his best to set a test for him  and gives him 100 dollars so that he goes back home
he will then learn in private with genta all the bcbg songs and when he arrives for test when the group is days away from bercy him and genta will act like they do not known each other to avoid suspicion of him corrupting for test, and when asked if he can play a song of bcbg he says i can play every jb mpiana and later bcbg related song from mulolo to th which surprises people
and he will pass wonderfully every trick the bcbg instrumentists pull on him switching from a song to another without telling him but he adapted  and was recruited
but he had to face 19 soloists who were also recruited,some like ficarre and pathy moleso being first team some being reserve,some who have never even played at a bcbg rehearsal but who come with hope to get a chance one day
and as the group goes to bercy,genta gives him some money again so that he can buy some clothes for future concerts when they return and he will announce to his father that he has joined bcbg and his father gives him blessings seeing how determined he is and to encourage him he buys him a guitar but he also asks him to keep studying because its important to have a plan b and he will going to night class sessions for years and get a university diploma
in 2002 he will start being a lot with genta when he decides to start his hyper long private rehearsals( 13 hours everyday)alongside his understudies fiston genie later known as lobeso,equaliseur,roi david,identité...
and he will started getting a bit of a look by the end of that year,but he gets bantered a lot in the group for his look,never a crazy haircut,no earrings no tatoo,rarely wearing jeans,shirts always tied up to the first button..
In 2003 he will make some nice appearances and will shine in a fikin show as jb came on his own while is one of the first times jb really notices him
in 2004 while the group is gone to south africa to record anti terro he is left behind, but partly due to genta's insistance to jb's ears and jb himself feeling another touch would not be too bad given the higher number of songs decides to get him a visa to south africa and comes himself to welcome him at airport
he will end up playing the last two minutes of generique,rhythm guitar on plainte a and another song aswell as bass on a song
One year later while the group plans third primus second primus generique of its history,jb plans to let the bigger names ficarre,mbokaliya or pathy molesso play it but genta will suggest a generique he prepared in private with patou and his private atalakus who are in hope of a chance,but its stalling due to the important crop which is already in the group
and tutu caludji who already heard that generique will fully support it and patou ends up getting the chance to play generique which will be named bongolowayi,with only two changes,the "crazy" start of the generique and the animation kipala nzonzako added in studio during recording by levieux mavuzi,younger brother of mosaka and provider of various groups until today
and the result is impressive and fans from around the world start trying to know who is that patou solo guy mentioned in the generique and he start getting calls and gifts
his career will take a massive step ahead the year after when he comes with the partitions like pesa mbote,lopele...and during one concert jb calls him and says( 6 years in the group,he was not getting a proper look but kept quiet and working hard and came in with pesa mbote and lopele partitions) that part will mark the debut of him really cementing his position in the group
but unfortunately for him he does not get visa to UK tour due to embassy giving priority to those who have a lot of visas already in their passports so maitre ficarre ends up playing in generique kipe ya yo,but he plays lead in the songs done in kinshasa,voiture of jules kibens,francis solution,and reworks sans permission originally done by mbokaliya
 in 2008 when the group's europe ban is officially over he is on the list as the other soloist maitre ficarre is under a bit of an embargo for having tried to run away to stay with a sidekick and he gets a great reception from fans and in the meantime he had played the whole quel est ton probleme except liberez played by ficarre and he will obviously be in the american tour after quel est ton probleme along with ficarre who is banned in europe only
 later on when the group is working on another album soyons serieux, he will again get a lots of songs to play,with ficarre only playing my love,mbua,djikidjiki and his own song
during a group reunion before rehearsal he gets a very cold welcome by jb who says he is suspended and he wont rehearse,and seconds after says you know why you are suspended? patou says no while looking down and jb says because your behavior is too perfect and the whole group explodes in laughter and jb gives him the 1000 dollars he had in a pocket and gives him advice to continue like that and he will  go very far in his career
in 2013 when camps are starting to clash in the group over treatment of minor musicans he is on the side defending minor members and the other camp will try to influence him getting in trouble with false stories but genta ficarre and sundabass stand for him and he is on the list for the group's zenith which will fail last minute and gets his first song sim blanche in album balle de match which was then a 11 songs project
as the concert fails,jb hands passports to everybody and tells them whoever wants to go to europe can go and all the group will prefer to stay as solidarity to their leader,but patou will ask permission few days later to go to europe as he plans to marry an ivorian europe based woman he fell in love with during tours and from then he remains in europe and gets married
until today he has never announced he has left wenge bcbg

lol back in the days many of the bodyguards of several groups,not just maison mere used to scare people who came for tests especially if you came on your own you'd be  in trouble unless they are on nice mood that day,and even back then  in the two wenges, even when you succeeded at test you were not "safe" from being slapped out of nowhere in front of rehearsal hall and things like that,they considered it as "baptism" so that you toughen up
zygal started playing in francis solution then cemented position from quel est ton probleme and played every of the released song until now except je ne te calcule pas or on some songs with ficarre playing lead like mbua,patou took rhythm

So Reddy is also super stingy. Eish, seems almost all leaders are like that. Lol... I remember an interview were a certain internet journalist (i think it is Nadege) when she jokingly told Marchouse that why have you changed so much in terms of polemic when you were with Reddy you never used to talk much later on attacking others leaders. yeah padache,but they redid the generique in europe,with patou playing that partition on lead and zygal doing rhythm
its one of the reasons why he tried joining almost every big group because he was disappointed the original  telecommande generique sounded way better than the one done in france

PATRICK MUKEBA KABANGU AKA IBRATOR

patrick was born in 1980 in kinshasa and grew up in the area of matete and starts singing at age of 4 already as he impresses older people with his ability to sing most of the songs of that era after just a couple of listening
then when a bit older he will follow his mother who sings at church and by the age of 10 will start singing himself in church
also like most young people he will be into sports trying several martial arts before having a preference for judo which he will do for years
in 1995 he is kicked out of class for disturbing class with his singing of koffi olomide,madilu,wenge musica and co songs which catch more attention at time that teacher's lessons and he will be sent to boarding school outside kinshasa by his parents
once there it will not calm down at all,in fact he will join the school's musical group while still being a quite good student
two years after there will a turning point which surely starts to make him think about having a professional career in music as he shines in boarding school singing songs of his role models jb mpiana,pepe kalle,papa wemba...and especially is the only one of the boarding school who can sing manda chante's high notes in the new hit ibrahim
so after lessons,students of all classes would gather around him for him to sing ibrahim and various other songs and start calling him ibrahim actually
and when he is back in kinshasa as he nears high school end he starts class in kinshasa again as his parents are encouraged by the fact he had no "discipline" issues at boarding school and he happens to be there when the newly born wenge musica 4X4 soon to be maison mere shoots clip of kalayi boeing remix and impresses werrason who tries to know if he can ask for permission to his parents to take him in the band but by the time they finish he runs away as his friends and older people who were around warn him and tell him stories that in music there is big witchcraft
he graduates and goes to university to study interior design which is convincing for his parents and secretly goes to start learning music at INA by selling some of his shoes to fund it behind his parents back
in 2000 guitarist do akongo leaves quartier latin and spots him singing and takes him under his wing and senses in him ability to write and coaches him on how to develop it
and he soon be followed by other young guys from matete like nono fudji,jules lelo aka eboa and will bring to the group gabriel akelembi we will later know as robinio mundibu who is then a comedian doing the role of an old village man in the group of late comedian mundueri
and outside the group he will participate in nono fudji's "workshops" along with mignon abraham,atshuda,yasser and also sometimes the young brother of their friend christian mbuyulu,fabrice who he takes under his wings to teach him own to sing on tune and he will also become close to wenge bcbg singers rio who he gives some vocals to and writes his first ever song fleur d'amour
and after double zenith of wenge maison mere he is introduced by a common friend to heritier watanabe who he had already seen in his wenge bcbg days at a concert in their high school and from then will start working with him and will drag with him the remaining members and new members of his worskhop to work with heritier
he will then give some vocals to heritier for temoignage but will decline joining maison mere as he remembers witchcraft stories and in the meantime also works with jean goubald who will take him to koffi olomide who he'll refuse to join for same reason(but will give songs and vocals from monde arabe until abracadabra)
when he graduates from  INA and from university he will work at both as an assistant to teachers while he tries to find a full time job
in 2006 he will bring a pack of 14 songs to heritier (abeti faux,confessions intimes,par amour...) and he will start giving vocals for musicians who heritier wants to help settle in maison mere (miel,olivier...) and will be seen once in a home tv interview which starts rumours of heritier preparing a group at home to leave maison mere
and he will be painting and making pottery as he learned at arts school to earn some money as he waits from an official offer for a job,still not considering music as his future job
in 2009 2010 when he is working in private with heritier fabregas will beg him to start coming to rehearse with him also permanently
in 2011 on a phonecall demand of fabregas he gathers the guys(adada,thierry mugler,yasser,but na filet and co) to record their songs for him to release an album and he will be the one funding promotion when first album is released before fabregas arrives
when fabregas arrives he wants to transform the workshop group into his group where he is the leader and they will accept especially him ibrator who is convinced by heritier to help out their little brother fabregas
when time arrives to structure the group,patrick who has been renamed ibrator by rio de janeiro prefers letting yasser be the chef of the group but yasser quickly leaves as  he does not like some of fabregas attitude coming with his role of president and cant accept a younger brother he used to take by the hand to take him to school disrespecting him in front of people
ibrator then takes naturally that role being a natural leader among that crop already and he will shine in various albums of fabregas and even get a song limousine
but in 2016 when musicians complain about leader not paying for over half a year after having started doing it on camera for his image previously he first uses his own money he gets from donors to calm them down and warns fabregas who says they'll get used because congolese music is like that
few months after musicians are furious as promises are not fulfilled and during a private reunion without the leader they tell ibrator and fabregas' younger brother yves who is the secretary of the group to tell fabregas they could go on strike if it does not change and yves report to fabregas that ibrator is brainwashing musicians to leave and form rebel group because he is big headed with the succes of his song
and during on the way to next concert of their angola tour ,fabregas angrily tells his bodyguard to throw ibrator out of the  range rover producer put at his disposition with his chef d'orchestre in heavy rain
and when he still manages to arrive at concert  he sings a song when fabregas is taking a break to chat with donors then fabregas steps on stage takes his microphone by force and makes a new member sing ibrator's song limousine to humiliate him and he does not sing a single second until end of concert
after concert musicians go to see him to say they are with him and fabregas and are ready to leave with him since he is good to them and helps them more than the leader himself
and at last minute 7 musicians are motivated to leave taboch,adada,mugler,but na filet,materazzi,christian solo and himself ibrator who becomes convince from the moment he is given undetermined suspension one day before return and as reports of rebel group reach fabregas he will spend the night before trip back home  promising them all sorts of appealing things like houses,houses rents in most modern areas of kin,cars and so on...and he convinces mugler and but na filet to be on plane for return as they also see in it a golden opportunity to claim chef d'orchestre role
taboch,adada and mbonzo who had stayed in angola rush to him to comfort him and motivate him to form a band together and at the same time there are rumours that a musician who falled out with fabregas(koffi) is behind that
and when they arrive in kinshasa to confirm they have formed the band  les contremaitre it will fuel even more that rumour when people hear they will be produced by koffi central while in reality its adada who sold songs to koffi who asks for his help since they have to release an album and he has a label
and as a support to them koffi will make banners spread around kinshasa claiming koffi central produces album of les contremaitre while they had not signed a contract yet
and when they meet to sign a contract,their lawyers advise them not to sign the contract because of some tricky clauses found there and they do not sign which pisses adada off as he feels like he has betrayed koffi who he promised to get the group under his label
album plan b will then be released under distribution label of akila and ndombolhino and one song kaniaka will catch attention but people will ignore its deep lyrics to focus on the parts where ibrator seemingly pours out his heart about the humiliation in angola and the song gets a great reception and wins award at national level and best clip award
while adada leaves the group as he wants to keep working with koffi and does not see himself under leadership of somebody,the group goes to angola and succeeds
then when they return,fabregas sends soldiers to kidnap him and bully him and take him to police but he is released thanks to a call
few times after they go to angola again and happen to be there at same time with jb mpiana and jb is informed him and a former bill clinton dancer are in the crowd and like he always does invites them on stage and ibrator will be so moved with the way jb considered him despite being not too proven yet compared to most people of his generation
when he returns to kinshasa,he still does a bit of banter against fabregas like the "game" requires but it will take another dimension when after a rehearsal he is taken by force to court on a complaint from fabregas over a car he bought thanks to a donor in his time in light music as fabro just tries everything possible to bother him and it get ibrator so pisses that now he now becomes agressive when asked about fabregas while he previously just joked to do like other artists and considered that his little grudge with fabro was over after he did those parts of kaniaka to "bury" that memory
and on two occasions he will have his concert banners torn  on fabro's orders and a third time police and kulunas are sent with tear gas and stones to cause end of rehearsal where he is preparing ibrator chante jb mpiana to thank jb for having actually helped him pull a good crowd by inviting him on stage
informed about what happened,jb offers him a whole set of instruments and rents for him a rehearsal hall in a "safer" area and promises to participate to his concert
the concert happens on 29th of june in 2018 with jb's presence and he showcases his art skills with a very good reproduction of a jb picture sold to charity
few times after he will release a song for donor jeff ndjadi leteta which gets a great reception in kinshasa and even is considered to still be the best "leteta song" so far and announces his first solo album to be released soon under direction of lenny bidens

It is witchcraft fundamental to succeed in Congolese music? Howcome every major artist is so obsessed about it? I mean Robinio had a great deal of success before entering that game with Tsha Nanu Boye, Ye Yo, Etirette and 4 Lettres also Fabregas weren't doing bad before Ya Mado and we all know it is due Koffi's influence that the song became a success.
Why are these artist obsessed about this witchcraft? I mean if it was really effective Congolese music would have dominated the global scene

Voila,and cedric did few days ago after the death of his brother nono shaka an interview where he hinted several times about how fabregas could not have forced him out of the band like that after what he did for his success
