I really don't why Ferre ain't respected and known like other African artists I will always be surprised thst he is less famous in Africa than Arafat

Why?

his personality is boring. at the end of the day people fall in love with characters just as much as if not moreso than the actual music. he makes great music but he's not really charismatic. he keeps to himself. he doesn't seem to chase fame. to get to certain levels you have to actually exert effort towards recognition. just putting out great music isn't enough. it's all about marketing

indeed i tend to agree a bit but herve is quite old to change now  its his nature to be shy on the other hand  we have a bloody charismatic jb who does not feed his career properly with music these days ,maybe we should mix both

You can tell ferre's just a shy quiet guy who doesn't talk much the way he expresses himself is through music

For a "shy" guy Ferre does do a lot of interviews and expects his artists to do the same. and for Soke, I forgot Ferre even had that song, never really cared for it.

I don't think he is shy but he is not capable to speak with journalist like he was speaking to one of his friend, if he didn't want fame he would have not chose MM, then go solo, and then go to Koffi and then going back solo.

The T9 is killing me what I meant is that usually a boring man or woman hasn't got any friends, so how can he be shy or not sponsorize himself during interviews??? I think he has a very bad marketing he like most Congolese artist has the usance to let friends run important things like administration and marketing instead of letting it to a guy who knows what he does

I Agree and Disagree, yes its true his marketing is not up to standard, but Ferre biggest failure is his inability to captivate a crowd. Fally does that with his erotic sexy moves that keep his female and perhaps gay followers wanting for more... On the other hand Ferre seems to have a limited catalog of dance moves and you can find clips of him dancing with a big belly; quiet embarrassing really.

Ferre is perhaps the second best poet after Koffi and his vocal talents are second to none, but, still at the end of the day he is just not commercially refined.
