That song s like "6 millions de soucis" but on steroid.... I feel like on the generique, he did a little too much. I find it hard to follow, but the rumbas he just proved himself.

On the generiques,i think the atalukus have failed him especially on the first generique and title track 'Boite Noire,'the atalukus were just playing.
The new female atalukus Ruth Nzele sounds promising and the other chap that features on the decalle song 'Coureur de jupon'

All these generiques don't even come to close to Sens Interdit and Lubukulukumu which are excellent generiques however they are not bad because they are straight forward. I personally prefer the generique 'Kibombanda' to even Satelite by Werra or Fally's Hustler is back as Werra and Fally's are messed up by some unnecessary changes in rhythm and tempo,it can be tricky playing songs that have funny changes, people don't like that when they are on the dancefloor, they think it's you the DJ who has changed the song yet it's still the same song playing.

The only thing I am not impressed with is the poor mixing by the sound engineer,i don't know which studio Ferre used, they did a bad job and it's more noticeable on the generiques, the solo guitar especially is terribly low compared to bass but am glad on the generique Kibombanda,Hadji Solo really hit his signatures,Didier Lacoste must be missing him .

If he is still in the R&B nonsense, then I wouldn't be buying the CD. I follow Congolese music because I want to dance, not listen to trash

Alex,it's Fally who is still in the R&B crap,Ferre does pure rhumba,2 or 3 tracks with semi-sebene and 2 pure sebenes and one coupe decalle type song are also included on the 22 track album so there is something for everyone.  :-D

Personally I think Brcy Muana is the best atalaku in Congo at the moment....ann Ruth Nzele didnt impress me on the kimbombanda track. Kirikou reminds me of of Apocalypse Cendre
