It's a matter of age my friend. Yea man, this song was an Europe & African sensation at the time. Soukousfan is a bit younger than that generation to his defense.
 
The music from the artists before the 4th & 5th generation was far richer, but its becoming forgotten, if not already. Very upsetting

I think you must bear in mind, we know Congolese music in different ways. The fact that i am even asking must mean that I am taking the time to listen to these classics, to educate myself on the artists that shaped Congolese music.
