I don't know what you think about it but I find that too few songs in Congolese music have a pretty powerful bass like Roger Milla of Pepe Kalle or Sous-Sol of Werrason. Yet there is a very good bass player in Congo but it is not well enough tuned in most Congolese songs.

Special mention to Werrason and Ferré Gola for their albums 7 days of the week and QQJD where bass is played excellently

The funny thing is 1 man plays bass on almost all of the songs, albums and artists you just mentioned. Godé Lofombo - “Kamoula Bass”. Unanimously known as DRC’s best ever bassist.
