Maitre Jordan Kusa also had some savage disses towards Academia on Boulevard des Stars too Lebou soon left and created Quartier latin Integral, so that was another polemic all together.

Yea Olympia was a possibility at the time, but was highly unlikely realistically as the band was so unstable and fully Europe-based. Their Secteur-A label boss, Passi had the clout to book the venue easily though

I think that they were talking about Pathy Bass and Lebou Kabuya who left. Look the way those girls were talking about Lebou and praising Pitshou Concorde.

They already left Secteur A that at time. They became close to Jimmy Mukelenge, who was their first manager. He wasn't happy the way they decided to with Secteur A, instead of him, when they started Academia.


It is so crazy how everything is focused on Sam Tshintu, while it was a band of friends in the beginning. The Ngulu-affaire really killed the band with Sam Tshintu staying to long in Europe after 4 Coins Kandala.

Suzuki went to form his own band in 2002 and went to record another solo album, then rejoined Quartier Latin 2006. Mutshapa participated on 4 Coins Kandala, which was recorded in Kinshasa and went on tour in Europe with them and then stayed.

Man, I always die of laughter when I see the braids Koffi had in 2002. Dem braids were struggling! 2002 hair styles were too crazy.

I've always said it him leaving QL  to go to academia was a very stupid decision that's liking leaving the big leagues to go to a small league Gipson and Lola were so irritating especially in the LSC in 2000 just after mustapha left... where is he now?
